Hey everyone. I had something on my mind that I have been meaning to discuss with you people for a while. I have heard about how it is sometimes hard for women to connect with your babies that they have had through surrogacy. I want to know how you guys dealt with all this after your child was born and how you developed your connection with the child. I had mine through surrogacy as well. The surrogate mother was this amazing woman, selected for us by our clinic. She is a friend now. I never struggled with building a connection with my son. It was very easy for me. I went with the flow. I want to know how you guys had your children and how you dealt with this. This is for the women who had their kids after getting fertility treatment or from surrogacy like me. Looking forward to reading your comments.

I am still in the middle of the process therefore, I cant say much on this. However, I personally think it really depends on the amount of love you give in. I mean a lot of parents adopt as well however, they do love these children. Whereas in kids you are genetically linked as well so the bond is stronger. I think you are making it difficult for your own self by developing such ideas in your mind. The connection all depends on the care and love. Good luck on your journey. I can't wait to start my own.

I think it is really how you see things. The clinic I am visiting for my process there are so many other IPs over there as well. I get to meet and discuss different things with them. The happiness and excitement on their face are truly commendable. They share their stories of trouble is makes me really happy for them. I have opted for IVF. I am hoping it works for us. This thought never arises in my mind. I am just looking forward to carry my baby in my arms. This is the day I have been waiting for. Other than that if you are having second thoughts maybe visit a therapist. She/he will really help you out. Good luck to you. Sending baby dust your way. I hope things go well.

I think if you, yourself are comfortable, enough, it's not an issue. I believe the child deserves to know. So, when he reaches a certain age, you can tell them. Hello Hally. How are you doing? Thank you for sharing your view here. I agree with you. People should tell their kids when they come of age. They can make it sound fun. Who says it has to be something really serious? Everyone deserves to know where they come from. You dont want to create a negative image in your kid's head. And them finding out from somewhere else would be really wrong. It's the parents who should do it. The kids deserve to know what lengths their parents had to go to in order to have them. If anything they would feel more loved. This is what I've planned for my kid too. Hope it goes well.

Hello. Thank you for commenting on my post. And sharing your story here too, of course. This sounds amazing. I'm so happy you are finally going for it. It is not an easy procedure. So you should be prepared for any outcome. In any case, do not lose hope. It might give you a tough time. But you are strong enough to deal with it. Hope you have chosen a reliable clinic. And yeah, talking to people who have done this before really helps. They speak from experience. It is always good to take advice from such people. Good luck to you for your procedure.

Congratulations to you! I am glad that things worked out for you. Surrogacy is an amazing process. However, the experience indeed goes well if the surrogate that is matched is a wonderful person. The credit of that does go to the clinic. As they match the surrogate after doing their own research. The clinic I know about I was really impressed by their way of researching about the surrogate. They first make sure that the surrogate has their own children. She shuls also be a nonsmoker. They also carry out a medical test. This is to ensure that isn't suffering from any present or past illness. This is done for the safety of herself and the baby. I think all of these things matter. As they make the process smooth.

I was told that I'm infertile due to my PCOS. I still tried to conceive for a couple of more times. It didn't really help. I had lost hope, but then I decided to go for IUIs. After a couple of failed attempts, it finally worked. I'm four months pregnant! I'd definitely suggest people to opt for this! It definitely works.

Hey, I hope you are doing well.I agree with Monika on this. It is actually all about the love and acceptance. If you are nice to kids they will be nice towards you as well. Apart from that surrogacy allows you to have children that are genetically yours. Therefore, if you think that the connection is stronger when biologically connected just know that they all are connected in that way. I have so many friends who are currently undergoing surrogacy and are so excited. The clinic I am visiting for my process is known for the process. There, I met a couple of intended parents all of them were positive about the process as well. They said that their dream was to grow a family and the process was enabling that. Having children after years of struggling is really an amazing moment. Therefore, I believe that is something I guess its all about having that positive mindset. Good luck to you. I opted for IVF, a year ago. I was told that I won't be able to conceive naturally. It was a tough time. However, going for IVF was a good decision. That helped me, and now I have a beautiful baby daughter! I hope this helps you, as well. Good luck to you and lots of baby dust.

Thank you for making this thread! I'm deciding to start my TTC journey. I have been told to try naturally for a couple of months. I suffer from unexplained infertility, however, the doctors think that we should give it a try before going for assisted conception. I'm quite excited, actually. Please wish me luck! These stories give me a lot of hope!
