Happy Monday! I skipped the gym today in hopes of getting over whatever cold I have now. It has been a long time since I had time to myself in which I didn't go to the gym.
Tonight I'm making pasta and meat sauce. I am trying to make zoodles for me and DH. We'll see how they turn out lol. So far they spiralled nicely.
Hard to believe it's almost S's birthday, 10 days to get it all together. So much on my plate today including glucola wheeee. Dr said eat normally but I don't know if I want to drink my normal latte. Not because of fear of failing the test, but the latte then the glucola might make me vomit. I don't do well with a lot of sugar when I'm not pregnant.
aggiebug they were awesome! My hand spiralizer didn't make them very thick so I think they'd be even more noodle-like with a good spiralizer. I seriously didn't even miss the pasta. We used an Alfredo type sauce which may make a difference. They say it works best with a thicker sauce. And I used the preferred method of baking the zoodles. I was shocked how amazing it turned out! Good luck with your test today. Hope your yummy holds out!
Today is grocery shopping and RE. H is working late so it's all on me tonight. Going to try to make a quiche in there somehow too!
dreemkin yay glad they turned out so well. I have done Korean beef and zoodles from damn delicious website and love them but never replaced in a dish I already eat, if that makes sense. I really should try it.
Home today, and I have a lot on my plate. The poor house is neglected, so I need to do some work on there. I have a phone interview with a candidate during the boy's rest. Then the boys for a power wheel from my dad, and the battery will be finished charging during their rest, so after we will be outside and playing with that.
Hey ladies! Sorry I keep dropping off the map. Work has been crazy. Zero time to pick up my phone! Lol. I started a new role at work in September and it’s been nutty every day since.
Nothing much going on otherwise. The girl’s have their bdays coming up. We booked a gymnastics party which they are looking forward. As a surprise gift for them we booked a night at Great Wolf Lodge. They’ll go nuts when they find out. I guess I’ll have to shave my legs which is the one downside lol
mishka29 it's great to hear from you. I'm sorry work is that crazy. Sounds like the girls will have great birthday celebrations!
I can't believe that our little ones (or big ones haha) will be 5. My saying for A is going to be "five and feisty". She had a bad behavior day yesterday and it actually caused me to be a little late picking up N for her after school art program. I feel bad about that because I usually am the early one. She lost the privilege to play video games today. She's the one giving me grey hairs.
Hamburgers for dinner tonight and hopefully grilled if H can get it together and get the propane replaced. The weather did drop again though so it might end up being on the stove anyway now that I'm typing this out.
H and I bought our tickets for our disney world trip last night!! It's the first time we are doing it this way, where everything is added on to our reservation individually (we usually go through a TA and get the magic your way package deal). It's a learning experience and Disney's website(s) are deplorable. We paid our yearly DVC dues a couple weeks ago for the first time! One of the few times I was so happy to spend money lol. But this bill was nothing compared to the tickets price. And we are only going for two days this trip...yikes. Next will be our dining plan purchase but we are waiting for a 5% back category on our credit card so we can get some money back. H didn't want to wait to do this for our tickets (so we are able to make fastpass+ selections when the time comes) so unfortunately we lost out on saving $50 there. So far we've been able to pay for everything with disney gift cards except the dvc insurance plan we chose to do this trip. If you can buy the GCs at a discount or with a percentage back it's worth it IMO. Pro tip lol. How is everyone else's trip planning going?
We decided to not do the one day in Disneyland in April for my BIL wedding. It was just too hard to try to work in to the plans. I am sad but I get it. I even bought the girls disney coast to coast shirts already. Oh well. They can still wear them I guess. I hope we can plan a longer Disneyland/dca trip soon that won't feel rushed and missing out on things. Maybe for next year??
I added orange zest with the lemon zest. And when I’d rolled it out into a rectangle I put some cinnamon sugar on, then cream cheese that I’d beaten with vanilla & powdered sugar, then more cinnamon sugar before I rolled it up.
I do recommend using whipped cream cheese but very soft cream cheese can do, too. I used almost one block and the cake swallowed it as if I didn’t use but a tablespoon, so be very generous if you want to fill it.
Planning is just starting on our October trip, but I'm in the middle of planning an unexpected girls trip to Harry Potter at Universal Studios in March, with my Aunt, mom and sister. My aunt lost her husband two years ago in March and wanted a distraction for the time this year, so arranged a get together.
Other than that I had to take the boys into work with me today due to one of my clerks getting into a car accident. He's alright thankfully, but I had to get into work right away after I recieved his call. Luckily they are pretty easy going and enjoyed the out of routine change.
kartish that sounds like fun. I want to go to HP land someday!
This weekend has been cold, windy, and icy so we have stayed in. We played games last night and then DH and I continued after the girls were in bed. It was fun! Tomorrow since both girls and my sister are off, we're going to have a chili day 2020 with my parents! Yay!
