I've been thinking about this since the topic was posted, a bit bummed that we might not do our last hoorah in Europe. So I spent an hour on Expedia and found a wicked deal for Prague, a week before Easter. Babymoon!!!!
We're going to Michigan's Upper Penninsula (live in the lower) in June for 4 nights. We're spending half the time camping, yes I know, but we're buying one of those fancy big tents with cots because of how enormous I'll be. The other half we're getting a room at this inn my husband knows about that overlooks the falls with a hot tub on he roof. Score.
I'm so jealous of all your plans. I want to go to the beach so bad but we had to replace our roof and it was $16k. We elected to pay it off by Oct 2015 so there is very little play money between that and the baby now. It looks like our next vacation will be of the family variety.

I don't have anything planned yet, but I would like to take the kids to the beach before this LO comes. We only live 4 hours from the coast and DD has only been twice... DS hasn't ever been...

I wish we were that close to a beach. We would be all over that! You should totally try to fit this in!

Nothing for us but my parents all of a sudden want to take a big family vacation in June. While I am grateful, chasing an 18 month old on the beach while almost 30 weeks pregnant doesn't sound that appealing. And I'm sure my doc will let me travel at that point, even though by then I might be asking her to say I can't
We have discussed a baby moon a few times, but I just don't think it will be feasible for us. Have to save all the cash for the midwife as my insurance covers none of it. At the very least, I am hoping we can head down to South Padre for a weekend.

That would be fun! Not sure how far you are from everything but Port Aransas or Rockport are good. I also love Galveston but not for the beach.

Thanks for the tips! I will check them out, though it might be a bit too far for a road trip while pregnant. I actually live about an hour from Galveston. Too close for it to feel vacation-y enough. However, if I find a great groupon, I'll be all over it.

There is also Corpus. The U.S.S. Lexington is a fun tour but it's pretty tight spaces..

Sorry for being MIA ladies, we spent from last Thursday through the weekend moving. But now I can catch up ...
We're planning weekend side trips and also for a Disney World vacation in April. It will be our first anniversary and we really want to get down to Florida again before August anyway since that's where my FIL lives.
DH wants to go to Zion and Arches National Parks in Utah before DD turns two in April (airfare $$$). But I'm not sure if I want to go on a costly hiking vacation. The beach sounds lovely right now.
We are planning a trip to upstate ny sometime in May... Probably just stay in a B&B by the lake, walk around town, take a spa day. Unfortunately, we financially can't afford anywhere far at the moment... Just bought a house and this momma wants a Subaru Forester before baby arrives!
I HIGHLY recommend White face Lodge in Lake Placid NY. It is amazing. We spend every Christmas there and it is the perfect getaway. The spa services are wonderful.

I wanted to go to Hawaii again before baby comes. NBA All star weekend and my anniversary are on the same weekend and he is in the entertainment business and has some parties planned for that weekend. Then my lovely husband vetoed my idea to go in May and wants to go to Vegas for the Floyd Mayweather fight. Vegas is only fun when you can drink, wear a hot dress and wear come do me heels. I don't think I can do either of those and feel good in May. He doesn't get it happy wife=happy life. He is gonna pay royally if I don't get an actual relaxing trip before baby comes!
I found out last week that my sales performance earned me a spot on my company trip to Punta Mita before the end of Feb...but DH REFUSES to go so I'm taking a pregnant girlfriend for a husband-less babymoon. And because he won't go, he is taking me to West Palm for a long weekend to celebrate the beginning of second tri. I'm not sure which is more exciting, but I'm thrilled to dodge this cold weather.
I'm 30 minutes from the Hamptons and 45 from Montauk.. Im going to try and do some camping on the beach this summer. Make a weekend getaway out of it, and it'll only cost like $5 a night
Ohhhh you can put your tent up right on the beach?! Where?! I used to do that in Alaska and I miss it!

MH is trying to get me to commit to a trip to Upstate NY -- either to Lake Ontario to visit friends or to the Finger Lakes. Six hours in the car doesn't sound awesome. Last time we did a B&B about 90 minutes from here, and that was perfect.

All of these posts are making me super jealous. DH doesn't get vacation until the last 2 weeks of July and I don't want to risk going out of town that close to the EDD. That and the budget being SUPER tight means we might get 1 night at a hotel or cabin in the woods somewhere between now and then.
We want to take DS to Great Wolf Lodge for a birthday trip/"last hoorah" as an only child. However, his birthday is next month (he'll be 2), and I'm not really feeling a Waterpark themed hotel in the dead of winter. So we'll probably wait until March or April... I will be well into 2nd tri and we'll have gotten our tax return by then, win-win!!!
I've always wanted to take the kiddos here but haven't made it yet. Looks really cool!
Not sure about vacation plans yet. We have some pretty heavy remodeling to do so it will depend on finances, but I'm not opposed to a few fun day trips or a weekend or two
We are headed to the Bahamas for 3days (no kids!) for my 30th in February and then I have my friend's bachelorette in Florida over Memorial Day weekend. That's about all the vacations probably until next year. With our au pair coming on board in June, we have to buy 5 tickets to go anywhere as a family, and I won't leave nursing baby until 9 months.

If my nausea ends with 1st tri, we'll probably do something. There's lots of cute places on CA's central coast. I also potentially have a work trip to Hawaii.
We are headed to Florida in June for my husband's family reunion. But that is completely dependent on whether I can still fly...definitely not down for a 20+ hour drive at 30 weeks!
