What is your resolution/goal for this year?
What steps are you planning to take to achieve it? (I'm thinking that maybe this is something we should all write out and keep somewhere handy to remind ourselves and refer to)
Do you want help/ideas for your goal?
What successes have you had? What are your struggles?
GTKY: have you made New Years Resolutions in the past? How did you do with keeping them?

What is your resolution/goal for this year? -To be a better housekeeper
What steps are you planning to take to achieve it? (I'm thinking that maybe this is something we should all write out and keep somewhere handy to remind ourselves and refer to) -Rats! I had it all typed out nicely on the other place.
Do you want help/ideas for your goal? Always! All tips/tricks/shortcuts are appreciated
What successes have you had? What are your struggles? I'm not sure if I've actually had any big successes in this area yet. I really struggle with doing something right away (dishes, whatever) and then I let them pile up until it's an overwhelming mess and I feel even worse.
GTKY: have you made New Years Resolutions in the past? How did you do with keeping them? I once made a resolution to start taking better care of my appearance. Like less pony tales and no make up, etc, and I did really well. But clearly that's slacking as I don't ever even brush my hair anymore.
My resolution this year is really two. The first part is to take better care of myself. Eat better, be more active, set a better example for my kids and be able to be active/keep up with them. Steps I am taking is that I have signed up for a half marathon later this year, so I will be training for this. DH and I are also going to work on the backyard this spring to make sure it is easy to just go outside and play.
My other resolution is a joint resolution with DH, and that is to simplify our lives. We are going to try to get as many bills as possible on auto-pay so no one has to worry about whether they've been paid, say "no" to things more often to keep some time on the weekends for just our family, clean all of the unnecessary clutter from our house. I've already taken a step in my weekend meal prep, which has made weeknights so much easier and less stressful. I'm basically either dumping already prepped ingredients into the crockpot in the morning, or putting something that was already prepped into the oven when I get home.
Successes - see above Struggles - I'm having a really hard time making time to run. I think I'm going to start running the mile loop around my school a couple of days a week during lunch. My lunch ends up only being about 20-25 minutes most days, but that would be long enough to get in a mile, anyway
I have made them in the past, and never kept them. This year feels different. I've got two kids now. I want them to have a better example. Someone who is a little more together, a little healthier, and a lot happier/less stressed.
I have 2 as well. My first is to finish little projects around the house when I start them. DH and I always say we need to do house maintenance but never get around to it. Because lazy.
The more important one for me is to be more kind to people...including myself. I get irrational and angry when things don't go my way sometimes and fail to take anyone else's ideas or thoughts into account. Stepping back and listening is way harder than I imagined. Raising my voice is something I shouldn't do, but I do it way too often.
I can always use some tips or criticism when needed.
Successes: If I find myself getting upset or judgmental, I mentally try to put myself in their shoes. I'm still struggling with this, but making small progress.
I have made resolutions in the past and they fall by the waysides around February or March. With 2 kids, I need to not get upset and overreact. I don't want to be the mommy that yells. I'm considering a job change as well, so this is a positive change that needs to stick around.
