Anyone have anything they want to get out today?
WTF Friday: wtf weather- I understand February is cold and snowy but some of this snow needs to melt because it's becoming dangerous to drive. Car noses are trying to stick out around snowbanks and hang out into the road, or they just wing it and pull out in front of you.
FFFC: I'm hoping my hospital cracks down on visitors due to the measles outbreak so I don't have to be the bad guy and clearly state that I want no one but grandparents, DH and DD coming to see me and new DD2.
This is my WTF Friday....After 5 consecutive ear infections and a scheduled tube surgery for LO we had second thoughts and cancelled the surgery. She had 3-4 weeks of no ear infections so we were hopeful it was just a phase. NOPE....last night about 8pm she started throwing up (which for her is her only symptom of an ear infection - never gets a fever). So I thought Sh*t here we go. I had to change her twice and her sheets 3 times in the middle of the night (ran out of crib sheets) and changed myself twice. Then she wakes up starving and wants milk...didn't want to give it to her but she was pretty upset so I did. Hammers the milk and barfs all over my bed. Awesome. and to top it all off my almost 3 yr old was coughing from about 12-2am and then woke up around 4 because there were dinosaurs in his bed.
Course then it snowed 1 inch which caused about 7000 accidents. So Im sitting here at my desk after an hour and 45 min commute in BS traffic cuz people cant drive and like zero sleep and I can't even believe I am functioning. Gonna be a long day.
RedDDD I am so sorry! That definitely sounds like a rough night! DD was sick on Sunday night and I had to change her, her bedding, and myself multiple times until we ran out of jammies and sheets also. I hope she gets to feeling better quickly!
my only WTF today is why is time moving so slow?! It's only almost 11 and I'm ready to goooo!!!!
Although, I could also WTF the weather. it was supposed to be really nice this weekend and now it's rainy. We got DD a new play set and I was so excited to put it together and spend some time in the yard tomorrow! I may have to have DH built it in the garage for a day.

Another WTF weather... What is with this constant melting and freezing... Pick one and stick with it! The roads were so terrible this morning after pouring rain all night that froze as the temps dropped.
Also, WTF GD test... I know you are necessary but you suck! I've just finished the Orange drink and I'm here for the next hour. This clinic is freezing cold and I'm bored.
On a positive note, we are off to Florida in the morning! Wish us luck on a long flight with a crazy toddler!

RedDDD that sucks! DD tossed cookies a few nights ago and it smelled soooo bad (cottage cheese for dinner). I yelled for DH to come clean the bed as I got her sorted and as soon as he walked in I started to throw up because of the smell. Then DH started vomiting because I was vomiting. It was horrible and comical at the same time. I really hope you're able to sneak in a nap during your lunch hour. Also fingers crossed that you all have a good nights sleep tonight!
My bitch is weather related too. We catch water on our roof and it collects in a tank under our house. A couple of days ago we were empty so we paid for water to fill 1/2 our tank. Hours after we bought the water it rained, and rained, and rained some more. Everything was flooded and the tank was overflowing. Waste of money.
sugarkissed it will be great! The only suggestion I have is over prepare for the flight. We had sticker books, ipad, laptop with dvd's, lots of snacks, coloring books, blankies etc. We literally just kept switching the activity...eating, coloring, dvd, more coloring, sticker book, more eating.....as long as they were entertained we were golden. Change diaper literally two minutes before you board. Bring a portable changing pad in your bag. I don't typically carry one but I was glad I had one because I ended up changing kiddos in weird locations and airport restrooms are gross so it was nice to have something to lay them down on. have fun and GL!

RedDDD Thank you! We've flown with her a few times but it seems to get more challenging each time! I come armed with snacks, but since we have to pre-clear US customs it limits what we can bring.
Hope everyone in your household is feeling better!
Random - My washer broke a few days ago so I bought a new washer and dryer (old one had issues). They came today (a day early!) and now I'm excited to do laundry in a little while so I can try them out.
sugarkissed, jnetx, girlonfire, carli, thanks all for your support! So there has been a recent development, my husband had her at the dr. and her ears were clear, so they tested her for strep which was also clear. Then the nurse started asking a bunch of questions about her symptoms and now we think its actually a UTI. The thing that super sucks about that is if we cant catch her urine in this little bag thing they attached to her they will have to do a catheter which the nurse told me husband is "awful". I actually felt faint for the first time in my life. I just can't imagine holding her little body down so they can do a catheter. Im almost glad my husband is with her and not me. So We are waiting .....but she hasn't peed in more then 2 hours and I guess the thing they worry about is if its actually a kidney infection it can be more serious. So Im waiting to hear from DH. UGH....I can't even focus at work.

Oh no RedDDD!!! That's just horrible. DD had a UTI at 6 weeks old and I'm not going to lie, the cath is really shitty. I refused to allow them to do it at first but after many f-ups and what not at the hospital (huge story that would take forever to go into) with the bagged urine, I finally allowed our pedi to cath DD. I was on the other side of the ward bawling my eyes out when they did it.
Does your DD still take bottles or a large sippy of milk? If so then maybe give her a bottle and then try to catch the urine right after? At least then you'll know that her bladder will be pretty full.
Good luck, I really really hope this goes smoothly
RedDDD I'm so sorry your going through all that. I literally said "whoa" and was exhausted reading your original post and now the update is just worse. Ts&Ps to you and your family!
I could complain about the weather but that just seems like the redundant thing to complain about. So instead I will complain about DH being gone for work until the 28th. He's been gone only for 3 days now and I just miss having him home and I feel bad for DD because she is just running around saying "Daddy, Daddy". All the snow to shovel by myself (with the exception of yesterday morning, DH's uncle came and graciously dug me out), no one to talk to at home besides a toddler, and to top it off today is DH's birthday and hes not home to celebrate . Hands down to all of you ladies who have SO's who travel regularly, I just don't know how you do it!
sugarkissed, where in Florida did you decide to go? I heard today is our last cold day (it's 54) and that the weekend will be in the 70's
We are going to Orlando! Turns out my inlaws will be there at the same time, so they are going to help with DD. I can't wait! I've been watching the weather and it looks like we've got awesome timing.
Thats awesome! Have fun sugarkissed! we weill technically be in Orlando as well. We are going to meet our 3 week old nephew Stopping by downtown disney on the the way in - I think LO will enjoy it
Good news...no need for the catheter, DH was able to get a good urine sample and she definitely has a UTI. So hopefully she will start to feel better in the next day or so with a round of anti-biotics
@reddd glad to hear they did have to do the catheter - i couldn't even imagine that. I hope your weekend gets better and she starts feeling better soon!
RedDDD so sorry to hear about your rough day, but I'm glad they were able to figure it out without the cath and hopfully things will be looking better soon! I had to go through that with DD when she was 7 weeks old and it was no fun.
My only complaint today is that I am wondering why I agreed to be the one to stay late at work...it's Friday and I want to go home already!

RedDDD that was our weekend last weekend with puking. We all got the stomach flu which was super sucky Bc it came from both ends. Poor baby with a UTI. Hope she feels better!
1. I hate the cold. 2. Why do I watch food network shows?? They always make me so hungry.
Getting caught up RedDDD I'm so sorry your little girl has been sick, but yay for a diagnosis! Hope she feels better soon.
My random today:it's the second day of the best picture showcase, so I'm about to go park my butt at the movie theater for the day. So excited! Not so excited about the snow and freezing rain that's supposed to fall while I'm inside. The commute home may really suck.
Why does it have to snow today?! Monday morning would have been better. I just want snow day. We live in an area where we are wimps when it comes to snow and cold.
I really dislike when you buy a new nail polish and then when you go to use it the color looks different on your nails then you thought it would. Such a bummer!
