I have a good one. In my early 20s after a night of heavy drinking, we went to my friends house to play volleyball in her above ground pool. I thought I was a pro volleyball player, so when the ball flew out of the pool, I thought I could dive and get it. I ended up diving out of the pool, doing a forward roll, and spraining the whole right side of my body.

I went to boarding school for high school. My senior year I went out with some friends and we ended up at a beach party and got completely shit faced drunk. We tried to sneak into the dorm when we got back but our house mother was standing right at the back door checking to see who was still out when we came in so we got busted. The headmaster came over in his pajamas to deal with us and while he was lecturing us I started feeling sick. When I asked to please go to the bathroom he told me to shut up and sit down. I then puked on his leg and feet.

We all ended up being suspended for two full weeks, even though we'd never been in trouble and the handbook said 3 days for a first infraction because prom was coming up and they wanted to send a message. At the time my father was living in Holland for work so that's where I got sent. He was pissed at me but thought the two weeks was ridiculously excessive. He told me I was grounded for three days or whenever I got my two weeks of homework done, which ever was longer. And then I was on my own. I got it done in three days and then my step sister and I bought a train pass and went to Paris to stay in a hostel for a week. I um.... I sent every member of the school's disciplinary committee a postcard from Paris that said "Having a wonderful time. Wish you were here."

When I got back the Dean of Students called me into her office and I was terrified. She pulled out the postcard, put it on her desk, and glared at me from her chair for a very long time. And then she burst into laughter and thanked me for making her last serious moment in education before she retired so awesome. Looking back now, I'm mortified at what a brat I was.

Drive into my parents' driveway drunk (while I was home for the summer during college). But in my defense, someone actually drove my car with another person following the whole way home and I didn't take the wheel until right in front of my house. I don't blame them for not wanting to be seen by my parents.

Oh lord. I did a LOT of stupid shit when I was young. Like crazy, stupid, dangerous, what the fuck was I thinking, I'm lucky I'm not a lampshade in someones basement kind of stupid.

Most of it involves some combo of the following:

Boys
Booze
Bars
Cars

Oh man. Looking back on my past, it really is a true miracle I am still alive and have never been seriously injured.

One summer night in high school, me and 2 girlfriends were walking around downtown when some random guy pulled up next to us and said he was new in town and wanted to meet people. We GOT IN THE CAR with him. What. the. fuck.
We went to his apartment, drank drinks we didn't watch him make, skinny dipped in his apartment pool with him and then somehow caught a ride home early the next morning. Of all the horrible, terrible things that could have happened, nothing did. That was truly one of the most stupid things I ever did. And I have a LONG list.

I'm pretty innocent. Getting too drunk, puking, and crying is probably the worst of it for me.

No drugs, arrests, or even car accidents for me (1 speeding ticket which made me cry though).

I did crash a go-cart once at summer camp. But I mean I wasn't being a badass or careless, I've always been bad at driving those things.

I went on a two week long study abroad trip to Antigua between my junior and senior year of college. My parents paid a fraction of the cost, and the school picked up the rest of the tab to send us to an island with no legal drinking age. Oh, and because this was a new program, they didn't have host families or anything like that for us, so they sent us to an all-inclusive resort. There were students from various majors on the trip who actually had homework, but us musicians would go teach at the local schools, slap together some half-assed performances, and be done at 4:00, when we would start drinking, professors included. (I should point out that I also got some elective credits for this trip.)

The last night, most of us students (already drunk) decide it would be a good idea to go skinny dipping in the Caribbean, because when would we have that opportunity again? We brought a water bottle filled with straight Antiguan rum with us to keep our buzz going while we played Truth or Dare. Somehow, we managed not to drown, but when we got out of the water, half our stuff was missing. I fared pretty well, I still had my shirt, shoes, and whatever bag I had stashed my room key in (but no shorts or underwear). Some people were missing their cameras, and even papers to get out of the country. (Why they'd been carrying those papers on them, I have no idea; mine were locked in the safe in my room.) We probably would have panicked more, but we were still pretty drunk.

Sometime soon, a security guard came by and we flagged her down and explained the situation. To her credit, she was very patient and helpful, even though I'm sure she was thinking "stupid American kids". She radioed another guard, and long story short, they found all our missing stuff, intact, stuffed behind a garbage can about 50 yards away from the beach. Not long after this, we saw another guy from our trip wandering around and assumed it was him who played the practical joke. He claims he didn't, but since he'd found a hookup for the "wicked Antiguan ganja" early on during our stay, who the hell knows.

That's probably the biggest "what the fuck was I thinking?" moment of my life, and I know how very lucky we were. Incidentally, this happened less than a week before Natalee Holloway went missing in Aruba. My mom said if I'd still been down there when that happened, she would have made me come home.

After we turned 21, two good friends and I had about 3 months where we religiously frequented this bar/club near our apartment. We worked retail, so we'd work till 10:00, get off and go out till 3AM, then go home and sleep till noon. I can no longer imagine pulling one night like that, let alone doing it 4/5 nights a week.

The night that ended it all for me, my (then) best friend was getting reeeeallly friendly with some super sleazy guys, so even in my intoxicated state I knew the night needed to be over. So I propped one friend on each arm while they both protested loudly and walked them outside, where one laid down and went to sleep in the wood chips on the median between parking rows and the other on the hood of the car. I tried to get them to drink water with no luck, so finally I decided that, despite the fact that I'd slammed 10 drinks over the course of the last 2 hours because I wasn't supposed to be the DD, I was going to have to drive my bestie's car home if we were going to get out of there before the club closed and things got rowdy (someone had gotten stabbed there the week before - why the hell did we go back?? 22 yr olds make phenomenal life choices!). So I dragged my friends into the car, where they both proceeded to vomit repeatedly during the ride back, and drove back to our apartment at about 5 mph praying the whole time that I wouldn't get pulled over. It's a miracle that I didn't, because I know I was all over the road. I decided as I left them passed out in the car that the bar/club scene was not my thing and vowed that I would never again put my own life at risk to take care of stupid drunk girls. And that was the last time in the past 6 years that I've been totally wasted (except for one especially horrific mother's day at home with my DH LOL). Now I am officially a 3-drink-limit kinda girl and happier for it!

I cringe about having a daughter knowing the stupid shit I did in college. Me and my friends would bring random guys home from the bar when we were shitfaced. I look back and think wow, we are lucky.

I had a one night stand with one of said guys - he looked like vanilla ice. I later found out he was on probation for stabbing someone - according to him it was a misunderstanding. Not to mention I was 17 and he was like 26. So stupid.

Oh dear. I've done a lot of stupid things in my life- it's hard to decide which is the worst. Here's one for you, though:

When I was in college, I did a semester abroad in Greece. It was one of the coolest times in my life- I was young, made some amazing friends, and had some crazy experiences. Anyway, we did a lot of crazy things on that trip, but the night I turned 21 years old was beyond ridiculous. To be honest, I don't remember a lot of it- there were a lot of shots, dancing on tables and plenty of Greek boys. Anyway, long story short, I ended up leaving the bars at some point with some random Greek dude that none of us knew through the University or had met before. Luckily, he was a good person and we drove around and he showed me some gorgeous beaches and local spots. He brought me back to our house early the next morning completely unharmed, but I often think back on that night and know that he completely could have taken advantage of me, or worse. I was definitely a wild child, but thankfully those days are far behind me, and I came out if it all pretty unscathed!

When I was in high school, I met a guy online. We decided to me in person at a local mall. My best friend and her boyfriend went with me to meet him. We walked around the mall together as a group for a while, but then internet guy and I decided to sneak off and fool around in his car. This was before I had a cell phone. When we were done having our fun, he left. My best friend was so close to calling the cops because she thought he had kidnapped me. Stupid stupid teenage self!

I have done some stupid things as well. Most of mine were before the age of 16 as that is when I had my son.. I started at thirteen right before my mom passed. She was a prescription pill addict and my dad was a truck driver and always gone. My mom had me lie to my dad all the time so I got to pretty much do whatever I wanted.. I feel horrible about all of that now. Well I always hung out with older friends all my girlfriends were three years older and the guys were around 18-21. We drank every night all year long and some illegal drugs were normally around.. One night one of my friends wanted to go meet this guy she met on the internet. At his house.. In Wyandotte county. Which is like the hood here in Kansas City. We all went and got so drunk. It could have ended so badly. What the hell were we thinking!! I had just turned 15 and these guys were over 21!!! I am petrified for my children now.. I want to lock them all in the house with bars in their windows. Forever!

Well, shoot! I'm cross-posting because I should have put my FFFC here instead. I've done meth (and about every other drug). That, driving while on those substances, and the guys I dated while on those substances, are all the stupidest things I've done! Luckily for me that phase lasted about 3 years and then I figured my shit out.
