And here is why, I brought the nap back. 6 months of no naps in our house I can now say with some confidence that the last 3  weeks I've been able to get her to go down almost every single afternoon.  I am queen.  I am so freaking happy to have an hour plus back to myself!!!  

If this just jinxed it, I'm throwing myself off a tall building.

Good job! m rarely takes naps at home anymore on the weekends. I can sometime get him to fall asleep if I sit in there with him until he's asleep. Last week it only lasted 45 min :/

The title of this makes me think of the scavenge hunt episode of Big Bang theory. Sheldon packs a bag for the hunt and Leonard gives him shit for including a bowling ball. When the scavenger hunt ends up at the bowling alley Sheldon pulls the ball out of his bag and screams, "My brain is better than EVERYBODY'S!" Anyway, it makes me laugh. You are the queen of everything.

She has always needed them but when we started fighting bedtime for hours until 10-11 each night we gave up naps as a sacrifice to at least stop having horrible nights. The past few weeks she has been super tired around 1-2 so we just tried it and it worked. We've been playing up what's healthy in life. Like veggies, execise, etc, and we talked about naps being healthy. She is a little rougher to get back to bed at night if we let the nap go to late but that is normal anyway.

I just wanted to give hope to anyone whose kid is fighting them now, that perhaps they might come back. I don't know how long this will last, but her little bod needs them so I hope they do.
