wittyandwaiting How do you think of all these questions? I would have ran out days ago.
1. Before you knew the truth, how did you think babies were made? I can't remember ever not knowing how babies were made. My mum was a midwife, and I think she told me very, very early on.
2. What's your favourite smell? Vanilla.
3. If someone rented a billboard for you, what would you put on it? Probably nothing. I can be an excessively private person in real life.
1. Before you knew the truth, how did you think babies were made? I want to say something kinda bitter like-- I used to think that babies were made by putting semen/sperm in a vagina either directly from a penis or via a syringe but now I know that that's only how some babies are made. If you have diminished ovarian reserve, no fallopian tubes, or other infertility concerns there is a lot, lot, lot more too it.
Really, though, I don't remember what I used to think. I remember my mom telling us how babies were made but I don't remember what I thought before that.
2. What's your favourite smell? I love the smell of onions and garlic cooking. And the smell of spring. And citrus. And cookies baking. And lilies of the valley.
3. If someone rented a billboard for you, what would you put on it? I would probably put an advertisement for the non-profit foundation I work for. I'm not really sure.
****loss and living child discussed***** We're queer. I'm 34, have severe stage 4 endo, and both fallopian tubes are gone. My love ("Manada" 33) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tav.in and Ca.sey at 21 weeks gestation.
1. I have no idea what I thought. It's possible I never thought about it?
2. I am a nose-oriented person, so I like lots of smells. (My coveted perfume list is topped by Jo Malone's Vanilla-Anise.) Possibly my favorite smell is my aunt's smell: when she hugs me I feel so safe and happy and that smell makes me feel the same way.
3. I'd take my billboard somewhere conservative and do something subtle and pro-LGBT. (Or not subtle. Free speech works both ways, right?)
1. I've known as long as I can remember. I am told that in toddlerhood I insisted that I came from the local grocery store.
2. Night blooming jasmine. Citrus flowers. Cinnamon. Pine needles. Fireplace fires. Hard to choose. I like naturally occurring scents but am not big on perfumes or air fresheners or scented candles.
3. Wow, it depends. Some kind of thought provoking/uplifting message? Or maybe an ad for an organization or cause I believe in- something about education or the environment.
