I am wondering if I should call my midwife about this, but thought I would ask your opinion about this first.
DD is showing no signs of thrush, no rash or spots in mouth but my nipples are shiny, pink and both are cracked. One has been cracked for the past two weeks and is not getting any better, I fact it is probably getting worse. Even when not nursing they sting. Also, I have been using APNO since the first crack appeared 2.5w ago. Can I still get thrush even though I have been using that after every feeding? Should I put a call in to my MW about this or the fact that DD has no symptoms and I have cracked nips just sounds like pain from damage? I have been seen 5 times since birth and the MW said my latch looked good so I don't think that's what's causing the cracks to worsen. How can I get them to heal?

If you have been using APNO and your baby has no symptoms then it's probably not thrush. Has anyone knowledgeable checked your baby for a tongue and/or lip tie? Everyone was telling me that my baby's latch was fine but I had terribly cracked nipples that wouldn't heal. It turned out DS had a tongue and lip tie and once we got them lasered my nipples healed and our nursing improved.

LO was "checked" at the hospital and I was told she was fine? I have an appointment set up with an LC for next week so I will have her checked again then. Thanks for that!
