For me when I get a +opk I am most fertile and will normally ovulate 1 to 2 days later from the 1st positive +opk. But every person is different. I always confirm with my tracking my BBT. I normally start the opk beginning CD 14 and they get stronger around CD 19/20.

I use wondfo opk's, and the instructions say that a positive indicates that you will ovulate within 24-48 hours. My method is start EOD sex when I see fertile CM, then I try to go to ED sex when I get a positive OPK. Once I see my temp increase, I know that I've probably ovulated and can relax a little!
My understanding is that you have the best chance of conceiving when you have sex on ovulation day, or the couple of days just before ovulation.
Sometimes I miss my surge totally so I usually BD until my CM isn't fertility anymore. When I do catch it I usually O that next day. I've been lucky in that I can usually see a major temp drop the day before the rise so we also try to have sex that day and the next.
*lurking* You're fertile at both times, in theory. The OPK+ means you're going to O in 24-48 hrs (about), so you are fertile. You're technically fertile a day or 2 before that, on O day, and O+1...those days would all be in your "fertile window".
Have sex when you see the OPK+ and you're in business!
Also, make sure to test 2x/day (morning, night work good for me) so that you're sure to catch your surge.

Well I tested positive Friday and then Saturday morning so I guess we shall see lol after reading tho I guess I should chart too since all are saying do it right before positive too. Well here's hoping it worked lol

Charting is also the only way to know you're really ovulating, so its a good idea. I think statistically the best chance of conception is 2 days before you see a temp rise, so YES--charting is good!

FX it works out. As PP said 24-48 hours after a positive you *should* ovulate. That said, at our age multiple surges are possible, and other conditions we shall not name can cause multiple surges and no ovulation. So definitely start temping, unless of course you get a BFP...then we'll all start celebrating!

colinsfebmommy, SOOO Glad you asked this question. It is something that's always puzzled me. I've read conflicting things. I've always charted, but just recently started doing BBT's with OPK's and have learned so much about my cycles. It really is eye opening if you can be consistent with it. Also, I use the Wondfo OPK's and usually see faint lines leading to darker and darker lines. I usually wait to chart when I get the darkEST line if that makes sense.

FX!! Looks like we're on a similiar schedule
I use the Wondfo too. I also see the faint lines leading to dark, but I guess I always thought when it was truly positive that is the time to do it lol I clearly have a lot to learn, apparently in my old age I really don't know everything about ovulation lol

Not a stupid question at all! I've read conflicting things too... I've read you can O anywhere from 12-48 hours after getting a positive OPK. I've worried that we're stopping to early... but honestly by the time I get a positive OPK we're both ready for a break. We usually BD the days leading up to a positive OPK, but definitely the day of and the day after.
