Need help finding a bottle that my son can use in conjunction with me nursing him. My husband has given him a few bottles of expressed milk with my tomme tippe bottles but I think the flow is still too fast and it's the sllow flow nipple. I was time by a LC that milk should not come out of the nipple when turned upside down and it does... So I am confused. Can anyone help?? What's eberyobe else using??
We have had the most success with Avent newborn bottles. The nipples are slow flow and DD did well with them from when we started offering bottles. She rejected many others. She is still using the slow flow Avent newborn bottles and I hope to never increase the flow. She is 4 months old and still doing well with them.
We use Playtex vent aire. I feel like they help ds take in less air. I do have a newborn avent like pp recommended and like it a lot. I considered buying those for our stash but went with playtex because they are cheaper.
We use Aaventwith a slow flow nipple. It does drip slowly when turned upside down. I'd like to stick with this flow but they're collapsong the nipple. They aren't frustrated with the flow though so I don't know if I need to change. anyway, I don't think I've ever seen a nipple that doesn't drip at all.

We used the tommee tippee for dd1. We are using the lansinoh momma now and I really like them - but baby can get milk out of it really quickly, even the slow flow one. It doesn't drip unless she sucks, though. (Would have stuck with TT but baby wasn't having it).
We used the Lansinoh Momma bottles as well. DD had a really hard time with the bottle and refused Tommee Tippee, Avent, Playtex, Nuk, and Dr. Brown's. Someone on the Bump suggested the Lansinoh bottles and she took it like a champ.

We had a time with this (and still are). We tried Nuk, Avent natural flow, Playtex drop ins, Dr. Browns wide and regular, MAM and finally found that she likes como tomo. The bottles are soft squishy like a boob. I have had very good luck with them.
I just ordered one of the Honest Co bottles to try. They're only available in 8 oz right now but I figure it doesn't hurt to try (or to have one >5 oz just in case).
I have the nuk orthodontic nipples and DD seems to take them just fine. A friend had recommended them and they worked so we haven't had to try anything else. That being said we have only used it twice so things may change.
The original Medelas had way too fast of a flow for DS. He chugged, then screamed until I nursed him, then spit up. I didn't try them again after that.
Not everyone likes them, but we loved the Breastflow bottles. They made DS work for the milk and made paced feelings easier for my DCP. Neither DCP mor MH had any trouble with them.

We use Avent glass bottles with the newborn (phase 1? Can't remember the name) nipples. Speedwise DS sucks it down crazy fast from a bottle even with the ultra slow flow. Tried using Tommie Tippee but he couldn't figure out how to get the milk out so we kept going until we found one that worked.
My advice would be to try ONE of each type before committing to a particular brand, even if it is cheaper in the long run.

We use the MAM bottles. We used slow flow nipples until she was about 3 months. I tested them, and they dripped much slower when turned upside down than the Playtex of Nuk bottles I had.

We use playtex drop-in nursers. I started with the Avent with slow flow nipples and LO seemed to almost choke it down in seconds, even when trying paced bottle feeding. The playtex have worked well, and while the liners cost a little more, there is less to wash, so that is nice.

We used Avent bottles with DD1. Haven't tried bottles with DD2 yet but hope she takes them so we don't have to buy new ones. I just bought new nipples. DD1 used the newborn (level 1 I think) for a year when I stopped pumping.
I got a free munchkin latch bottle. Those look really cool. I'll probably try those if DD2 doesn't take the Avent ones.
We love the classic avent bottles - LO has always been ok with them, and we tried a lot of other ones during a brief period where she was refusing bottles early on.
I thought the breastflow was really cool, but LO didn't care for it much.
narbuckle01 sounds like us! We have tried every bottle and finally the comotomo worked! I wanted to use glass dr Browns with preemie nipple for her GERD, but she loves her comotomo bottles and I love how easy they are to clean and that they are medical grade silicone!
We used the Dr. Browns glass bottles with a preemie nipple at first, and around 4-5mos we switched up to level 1 nipple when his nursing sessions were super fast but the bottle sessions were slooooow. The preemie nipple was key for us! Otherwise the milk definitely flows out when turned upside down.
