Almost didn't get to watch it last night because DH wanted to watch UFC but luckily we compromised ;-)
What did everyone think of last nights episode? I personally liked it much better than the last two. And finally they had a more realistic scene with Judith being hungry! Not that I like hearing babies cry when they are hungry
I didn't like the episode. A lot of what happened didn't make sense. It seemed like sloppy writing. And hearing a hungry baby crying and not being able to do anything about it made me very twitchy!

I think, for me, b/c I knew already that Aaron was a good guy (from the comics), I struggled seeing Rick be so harsh with him. But overall, for now, I guess it's okay.
It definitely gave me a twinge of sadness when Judith was crying for food. I can't even handle stuff like that even when I know it's not real.
I really thought for a second there that Glenn was going to be bitten. That was way too close for comfort.
I felt like they had barely any previews for next week - which makes me think it will be a pretty tame episode.

I haven't read the comics so I had no idea what to think of Aaron and his "sales pitch". I mean, there HAS to be other good groups of people who aren't rapist cannibals, ya know? But my heart was pounding the whole episode waiting for something horrible to happen.
I loved the nod to Dale with Glenn fixing the RV. Makes us think about how long this has been going on and all the characters we've lost. Gosh, I love this show!
pinkstarbursts , I always get distracted when Judith is in a scene because I analyze it and think IRL that's just not realistic. Like when they all left the barn and it was just Aaron and Rick, I looked at DH and said "uh what about Judith?" I guess Carl must have just laid her down and walked away or something.

I said the exact same thing to my DH!
The thing that bothered me the most about the episode was when Aaron started to freak out in the car after they ran down all the walkers in the street. If he had been watching the group for as long as was stated during Talking Dead (2-3 weeks) he would have known that he was safest with Rick, Glen and Michone. Why did he start freaking out saying that he needed to get out of there?

I am completely freaked out about what might be on the other side of the fence. DH was relieved when they got there and they could hear kids playing. I pointed out that it could totally be a recording to get them to let their guard down.
I actually think Rick is being smart to be cautious (although maybe a little too much so), and the others are being too trusting. Have they all forgotten about Terminus??? Why were there NO PEOPLE in any of those pictures?
Ugh. I felt stressed out when that episode ended, but it was a good one!
First - I'm so glad I could finally open up this thread and read it. We watched it last night. mamarazziof3, I said the same thing about it being a recording & no pictures of people!
On the subject of Judith, we all know that she wasn't going to eat semi-crushed acorns.
I can't shake that something seems off here with this new community. With that being said, I also really appreciated that Michonne (sword-wielding woman) finally spoke up and made Rick rethink that everyone is out to get them. Also, I live in Alexandria and the entire time I was like, what the fuck road are they on with such pretty views of DC! It doesn't exist - fyi.
Anyone also find it strange that Aaron mentioned they would have to "audition" to live in the community? Which I think what was happening in the preview when Ricks voice was in the background saying how he's killed people, ect.
I'm also curious to see what the "audition" process is. I think Rick has a reason to be cautious, but maybe not as drastic as he's being. Although Michon and the others are being too trusting IMO. I can't wait for next week. I think something is definitely off about this place and I'm curious to see what it's about. They can't just find a nice place to live because that would be the beginning of the end of the show. There's nothing exciting about living in a safe place, is there?

I didn't understand it at the time, but I think he was freaking out because of the flare? I think he saw the flare and knew it meant his boyfriend was in trouble and he was desperate to get to him? A lot of the episode didn't make sense to me though.

Michonne (so my favorite character) definitely had a good point. Rick does need to realize that people MIGHT actually want to help... But at the same time, like you said, something is obviously off about the whole thing.
