kamakaziartist yikes, it's scary when they're that high. Hope E's temp drops quickly and you can avoid an ER visit. Have you thought about giving her a bath in lukewarm water? When B was running high temps last week, our pedi recommended that and it seemed to help.
Re: the paci. So C only gets his for naps and bedtime as well and I was planning to let him keep it for another few months and see if he got tired of it on his own. Seeing as he's teething, that's probably not going to happen. Anyhow his doctor today said he'd like to see him get rid of it sooner rather than later, so we're going to cut slits in them and see what happens. Hopefully we can make HIM decide to get rid of it, rather than the other way around.
Sunny41 i'm going to sound like a drug ad, but definitely talk to your doctor if you're having issues b/c there IS stuff that can be done. I had an episiotomy and 3rd degree tear and was so afraid there was scar tissue built up--or something--that was causing a lot of pain. We are starting with an RX for a topical estrogen cream, but she said if that doesn't work, there are other things (physical therapy was one suggestion) that we can look at.

Our ped wasn't concerned about her paci usage. She did say we should try to get rid of the bedtime bottle in the next couple of months, but we didn't have to rush it. I think the bottle is more of a crutch for me than Cadence. This is the last bottle for BOTH of us, not just her, so it is hard.
Tffc: dd had her paci until she was almost 3.... Yeah.
+1. I was well past 2 before finally ditching mine, too.
Our friends had the "paci fairy" come and replace their son's paci with a shiny new firetruck 'since he was a big boy now'. My sister's H gave his paci to the ducklings at the pond near their house when he was little.
I was all prepared to break my kid of the paci with these cute little ideas, and B never once took one.
V still has a paci in the car only. She dropped it on her own at night and nap time but car rides are by far her least favorite thing to do, and she will scream at the top of her lungs without the paci. Honestly, I haven't even thought about taking it away.
My niece is 4 and still has a paci, which is part of why it's always been somewhat of a concern for us. Kind of one of those "on the horizon" concerns, but I guess the horizon is in sight. These LOs aren't exactly infants anymore.

I'm the same with the bedtime bottle. I keep saying "next weekend" every weekend. I love feeding her that bottle and enjoying the snuggle time. My new goal is to be done with it by Easter.
kamakaziartist I'm glad E's fever went down. I hope it stays down and you can avoid the ER.
Hannah used to take a paci, but daycare wouldn't give it to her there so she stopped taking it sometime last summer. I actually wish she would take it now but she won't. She found one in her toy bin and chews on it but that's about it.

What would cutting slits do? Layla's paci is on it's last leg, she has chewed it to death. There is almost a hole, but not quite, I figured we would go cold turkey once there is finally a hole as I assumed it was a safety concern.
I made the coconut milk whipped cream and I actually really like it over strawberries and pineapple. It's my occasional tropical treat. Oh and Cherhorowitz I have my balsamic chicken all ready to be started in the crockpot in the morning except I cut the recipe in half and didn't use onions cause I realized I don't have one so i put a little onion powder instead. Do you just eat the chicken or put it over something? The recipe says to put it over angel hair pasta but I can't do that.
Hmm OK! Never knew that. Layla has always chewed more than sucked. Knowing her, a little hole won't bother her a bit. Stinker.
If she only chews on it, you're right, she probably won't care if there's a hole in it! You think she chews on it to help with teething?
I don't think so, I think it is just habit. She has always done it. She refused all pacifiers till we tried a softer latex one. Once she had it, she started this weird mix of mostly chewing and just a little sucking.

I can't sleep so I'm actually getting a chance to visit, sadly I might be here alone at the moment.
trtlcrzy said, my life has been a shit storm the last 2 weeks. I was sick, then H got sick, then work threatened to fire me over all the time I've missed so far this year, and now H and I both have a wicked cold. I'm giving her breathing treatments again which is no fun. Oh and our pipes froze last Friday but thankfully didn't burst. And I split my favorite pjs bottoms to the point of no return. That's my life in a nutshell, I'm not having fun, and I miss you ladies like crazy, but with my work situation I can't visit during the day.
ggandlee I'm so glad your DH is out of surgery and in recovery- yay!
kamakaziartist, glad the fever is down a little, hope baby girl feels better very soon if not already!
tjhine , I hope things get better! We are always here!
I'll chime in, I hate taxes, we owe this year, we expected it because DH started a side business and we have the funds, but I think now sadly I'm not getting the king sized bed I've had my eye on.
I had a doctors appointment today, well I guess now it was yesterday, and I'm doing much better controlling my anxiety about the pre-e. I'm not sure why 3 trips to the L&D and one to the doctor and no one noticed my UTI, but I was happy to finally get some answers. Unfortunately my numbers are rising, the MFM asked if I had a pedi selected and told me to stop wearing my wedding ring. I thought I was doing good, but tonight I feel like hell. I took my bp and its high, but not high enough to call the after hours line. I guess I'm DD because DH is asleep and I'm nervous, I have a wicked headache. I hate this grey area of being borderline sick and waiting for it to get worse or just feel slightly shitty constantly for the next 2 months.
I hope to be around more over the next few days but if not, know that I miss you all!!!
JEMandtheHolograms- waiting eagerly for baby updates, hoping that baby stays put until everyone is healthy ! Cracking up at the dogs in the drive thru!
All the hugs, mamasoup030. Not that it helps, but I think it's pretty natural that you're so anxious after what happened with H's birth. I'm sending Ts & Ps that this time, things will be less dramatic for you.
Sending lots of T&Ps mamasoup030. I'm sorry you're dealing with the anxiety, and I also think it's completely normal since you dealt with pre-e before. I'm sorry they didn't catch the UTI earlier, I would be frustrated with that too.
