So now that I've had beta #3, I'm officially moving out of 3T/IVF board. I'm the crazy one who posted a mini intro on Friday freaking out about my beta not doubling. I'm happy to say it's definitely caught up. (Beta #1: 1194, Beta #2 [48 hrs later]: 1998, Beta #3 [72 hours later]: 6254) I want to start by thanking those members who helped reassure my worrying mind to get me through the past weekend. I know this nervousness will never go away but it's nice to know there's such a welcoming and helpful group of ladies I can lean on from time to time. My worrying is due to my sister who has suffered quite a few losses (including a 19 month old and a full term loss). My brain has unfortunately been trained to expect the worst to happen. It's sucky really. So far, starting a family just isn't what I imagined it would be so we're guarded, but still excited and optimistic.
Quick TTC background... My H and I tried for 7 months on our own before seeking help. I wasn't able to confirm ovulation for that time after charting, temping, etc. and my luteal phases are 7-8 days. An HSG and 2 MRIs confirmed an arcuate shaped uterus lining. Our GYN encouraged us to seek help. We went through 3 clomid/IUIs, 1 fresh IVF, and a frozen cycle (fx). My luteal phases were still super short with progesterone suppositories, but so far PIO shots and a frozen cycle did the trick. I think my lazy embryos needed more time to grow and more time to stick. Our first ob u/s with our RE is early next week. I'll be sure to squeeze into a weekly check-in.
I'm excited to be starting this new chapter and to be joining your group. I hope and pray I'm lucky enough to stay. I look forward to learning more about all of you and reading about these growing babies Lots of GL to everyone on the board.
(Writing an official intro on this board feels surreal. If you made it through to the end, thanks for reading!)
