So I searched for this and I couldn't find it or I just don't know how to search good on the app. Anyway, I am having a bit of an issue during bath time. We have recently moved DD into the normal tub since she is far to long for the infant one. Now when I go to rinse her hair I don't have a good way of preventing the water from going in her eyes. I can't get her to look up, I can't get her to lean back far enough and a dry washcloth doesn't really catch the water. She gets mad (understandable) and I can't think of another way to do it. I think there is too much water to just lay her down as well. Maybe that's the problem? How do you guys rinse the hair without getting it in LO's eyes?
^ ^ ^ Bahahahaha at that! I don't know why, but I find that hilarious.
I just use a hand to shield too. Some water still gets in his face, but after the first couple times he didn't mind anymore. I think it was just a different sensation that he had to get used to.
I typically just use my hand to guard her face. But they also make these:
I saw this before! Thought about getting it! I have tried the hand to shield it but that does work either! I guess I will give it more time! Thanks ladies!
I use my hand, he gets kind of mad, I offer him the towel to dry his face after and sometimes he dries it, sometimes he's already moved on. I say if she's getting really mad you could save it for the very end of the bath, rinse her hair then wrap her up in a towel and dry off her face.

This exactly. Once I do it I just dry her face off then she's good to go.

I know I won't be able to much longer, but I bathe her in the kitchen sink. It's so much quicker and easier for me. Then just lay her on the counter and use a cup to rinse her hair.
Like others I used my hand to shield his face. Since starting swim lessons I don't even bother anymore though. During lessons the instructor uses a colander to pour water on DS head/face to get him used to the water. Now it is instinctual for him to close his eyes when the water hits his head. Maybe give it some time and LO will adapt as well?
I let the water just go all over his face. Mum of the year over here! He actually finds it funny though
Yup, pretty much this. Kid has to get used to getting water in her eyes. She goes underwater at swim class so I figure it's the same sensation.
This too. He was a little surprised and didn't like it the first couple of times, but now he loves it! He gets excited when I am about to pour the water and then he just grins!
I lay her down while I am still filling the bath. Water is about to her shoulders, then quickly wash her hair, face and bum. She will barely tolerate this now and is in a constant mode of trying to do a sit up lol. Once that is done then I sit her up and finish washing her and then she can play

I do this too and have since he was pretty small. He thinks it's no big deal and even when he gets some in his mouth. He just breathes and moves on because he's used to it. He's also tried to dump the cup on his own head too, though. So I might just have a SS.
I block as much as I can but a lot of water gets in her face and she doesn't mind. She actually puts her head under the faucet while it-shirts running and it doesn't even phase her
I tried a bigger washcloth tonight and the worked ok! Still some water but I was trying to go faster than before so that may have been part of it too. Plus she was super tired since she had only a 20 minute nap at daycare today. But it's picture day tomorrow so I couldn't skip the bath! Hopefully she is a bit better tomorrow so I can determine if she is still whining because of the water or whining because she wants to go to bed! Thanks again ladies!
I try to shield with my hand, but I also keep the water low enough I can lay him down in it. He actually likes laying down and kicking in the water. Then I'll sit him up when I'm done and let him play
