Good morning! I am prefacing this by saying I will be trying to get on at recess, lunch, etc to check in but most of my answering will be late afternoon/evening when I'm on my prep/done work ill post the answer to the poll later tonight!
Ask me anything!
ETA. Frig - I would make an autocorrect typo in the poll lol - "from" should read "fell"
Poll:
I bought my first house at 19: TRUTH I didn't way to pay residence fees at university so DH and I bought a house.
I tried to chemically straighten my hair once and it almost all fell out: LIE I've only ever used a straightener
I had reconstructive surgery on my foot: TRUTH - I used to ski race competitively and had to have the bones in my feet realigned after my boots messed them up.
haha no my dad and I used to play around a lot and make up ridiculous dance moves. He taught me to never take myself too seriously. I have a couple signature moves ex. the cheese-grater and the T-rex. I only bust those out for special occasions though.
the perfect burger has a Kraft cheese slice, mayonnaise, mustard, and onions. don't bring a tomato anywhere near my burger. Lettuce and pickles are find if its a big mac.
I teach French so I have students in kindergarten all the way up to grade 7. I really miss teaching grade 12 chemistry some days but also love primary so I'd say I'd love to teach either kindergarten immersion or grade 11/12 bio/chem.
I'm not big into cars but my dream vehicle would be the tacoma I have now but with heated seats and steering wheel and an automatic back window. My dad's tundra had a rear window that rolled down just like the sides and it was awesome.
If you could be anywhere in the world right now, where would it be and why?
Right this very second because I'm feeling incredible stressed I wish I could be beside a little stream that ran by our house in Nova Scotia. It was green and peaceful and warm.
I'd also take a trip to Marseilles as it's beautiful and I miss it and this winter is getting old.
Do you prefer board games, card games, or video games?
The perfect pizza is called "Canadian favourite" most places around here. It's basically a meat lovers with mushrooms. Eat it with creamy garlic dipping sauce - delish.
I think board games. I'm a big fan of the game of life and scrabble. My favourite card game is cribbage, but that also involves a board soo.... lol
I think I've mentioned this before but I have a memory of walking down a dirt path near my house with my dad and there were all kinds of yellow flowers on either side (I think they were golden rods) and he was singing "sing.....sing a song.... sing it loud....sing it strong......something something something.. so sing.... sing a song!!!"
It is also my favourite memory, my dad is like my best friend. I'd love to someday figure out if he made it up or if its an actual song lol

It's a real song. It's the Carpenter's. "Sing a Song"

How did you meet your H? What attracted you to him? How did he propose to you?
We were both playing on my older brother's baseball team in a summer festival baseball tournament.
He was hot and 25 with tattoos (hey I was 18 lol) my brother told him not to even think about it and the rest is history lol
We went to the restaurant I was working at to watch the fireworks on Canada day with some friends. Just as the fire works were about to start he asked me to come over for a picture and then got down on one knee. I have no idea what he said because my mind was going a mile a minute. Then the first firework went off and my dog freaked and dragged me away. I managed to drag her back a couple of minutes later and say yes.

Were you born in Canada? Do you ever plan to move to the U.S.?
Yep! I was born in Ottawa I don't think I'd ever move to the US. I can't imagine having to pay for health care and I think I would be way too stressed out about having to pay/get insurance etc. there are some place I love to visit in New York but I love my home here.
If you could switch places with someone for a day, who would it be and why?
Are my questions cool?
Perfect day would be waking up fully rested 5 mins before my alarm. Eating a breakfast DH cooked with one over easy egg, 2 cracked wheat toast, a has brown and 3 pieces of bacon, coffee, and OJ. I'd snuggle into my kick ass adult onsie in bed with DH, dogs and SSs and watch Netflix. We'd have Chinese or nachos for dinner, take the dogs for a walk after supper, read a bedtime story and then go to sleeeeep.
The only perfume ever really liked is love by JLo. I work in a scent-free environment though so I don't wear perfume much.
My favourite scent is something like vanilla, cookies, spice - "warm" scents I guess.
I love candles but since we got dogs I mostly use my scentsy.
I would switch places with a very well off or financial stable person. I would love to live a day without the thought in the back of my mind "what if <insert something extreme here> happened". Freedom from that stress would be wonderful.
These were s perfect mix of easy and thought-provoking questions
You actually just made me so happy. I am for real crying. I am really glad that this is a real song that I can listen to and think of that day. Thank you.
