In addition to my day job as a scientist, I have been in the top 0.1% of raiders in World of Warcraft (currently top 0.3%) I play a hunter. Pregnancy has made me take a bit if a step back (well, pregnancy mixed with my real life job and trying to apply to new jobs etc).
H used to be on the same level with raiding, but lately hasn't been nearly as competitive (which honestly I like, it was frustrating to cancel social engagements for raids which usually happened on weekend nights). It's too bad you can't put that down on a resume, because it really does mean a LOT to be that high of ranking.

I was offered a summer contract dancing in an outdoor theatre show in college. I didn't take it but kind of wish I had even though I know I wasn't going to try to dance professionally after college.

One of my cats names is Link. That was the name that the shelter gave him. We always thought it was after the game Zelda. And we loved that!
We were talking to the shelter a few months later and Link was part of the Breakfast club. Other cats in his condo were Bacon and Pancake. Link is a sausage link. Lol
My quirk: I am surprisingly good at making Asian food for a girl who is from a bland, middle-class background. I will also accidentally make things spicy... far too spicy for guests. Oops.
I grew up in a small, very controlling, fundamentalist christian church. I turned out a normal, progressive, well-adjusted adult. Not everyone I grew up with got out, or got out fast enough...man, are they weird.
Hmm. I spent my younger years as a really rebellious punker who lived for punk shows and cheap beer. I t didn't take long for my life to become unmanageable, so I got sober, went back to school and got a degree in social work. I worked in homeless shelters working with addicts, and I started AA meetings in the Detroit ghettos where I sponsored mostly young, black former prostitute drug addicts/alcoholics. My other passion is cooking... Mostly Vietnamese, middle eastern, Indian, Korean, etc. I started to get overly invested in my homeless clients and was getting burned out, so I started my own personal chef business, which pretty much rules.
We also speak a lot of Simpsons and King of the Hill around here. Also, some old school Family guy from time to time. I'm so disappointed when friends and family don't get it. ::sigh::

@aliam20 ahh Dane Cook movies. I think he was Tank in the movie with Kate Hudson - My Best Friends Girl. He's so horrible in it but I could really go for a movie like that right about now.
Hmmm. I can memorize some diagnosis codes and remember them forever, but forget what happened yesterday. Does that count? I have to ask DH if I have any quirky facts that are actually cool, haha.
Yeah I feel completely boring reading this. I asked H & he had no clue since "nothing's quirky, it's just you." So I'll go with I once traveled for 24 hours straight & was in 3 countries that day. Started off in Venice (which was a great trip), layover in Zurich, flew into Logan & parted with my group to head to North Carolina (2 more planes, the last being a terrifying puddle jumper) for a wedding. By the time I made it back to MA a couple days later, I had jet lag so bad I couldn't taste food.

This reminds me if the time I flew from Australia to LA. Because of the time difference we actually arrived in LA before we left Australia.
