I'm a hobby hopper. I like trying new things...some of my favorites are indoor/outdoor rock climbing, horseback riding (tried barrel racing this past summer-didn't place very high but had a lot of fun), hiking, camping, visiting new places with the kiddos (museums, aquariums, zoos, amusement parks - love roller coasters - science centers, etc) and Zumba.
I love wine and relaxing with a good book/movie. Favorite TV shows are modern family, game of thrones, walking dead, law &order, and vikings.
I have a Deathly Hallows (HP) tattoo on my left shoulder and I'm about to graduate college with a BA in Criminology & Psychology!
That is awesome! What are you planning on doing with your degree? I love everything about that field!
My intention is to go to law school after I graduate. I have 3 classes left to take that I hope are available this summer. Ultimately, I want to work for an innocence commission and help innocent death row inmates regain their freedom!
For me it's anything from Bubble Guppies. DS1 is OBSESSED.
What time is it? It's time for lunch!
ETA: my factoid would be that I was really into FFA/Ag class in high school and I was on a national meats judging team... That's right I can pick the best steak in the super market!.. & tell you what kind it is without looking at the label. I can identify mostly any cut of meat and tell you what animal & what part of the animal it comes from.
mommakc quilting is on top of my to try list this year. I bought all the fabric, I just can't decide on what kind of quilt I want to make. I really need to just dive in already!
I want someone to make me a bandana quilt.. They look awesome!!
I have a bizarre memory. Bizarre like I can remember the most minute details of very trivial moments, like what level your soda was at in the bottle when you bought it from the store or what someone wore the first time I met them. I also have an incredible memory for actual day-to-day events, some even 15-20 years ago. DH has accepted the weirdness, but I have to be careful with people I just meet because I can remember things about our very first conversation that will then catch them way off guard when I see them a month or even a year later.
On a nerdy note, DH and I love to play video games. He mans the controls and I help with strategy and remembering where everything is. We are currently playing Far Cry 4!

I'm about 9 credits away from my BA in psychology, although I'm planning on a different path. I want to get my MA in educational psychology and be a school psychologist. I love studying this time, stunting I can say about my first attempt at getting my degree.
I speak 3 languages fluently, and on my downtime, I live in Skyrim. If my husband plays one of his games, I default to crocheting my future baby's blanket which will probably be too big. I'm a boss at work, ppl think I'm a bitch, and that makes me feel bad because I'm a sweetie if you really know me. I'm leaving the job this year (after six years!) because I can't deal with other people's shit anymore.
Oh my gosh, I played that game so much I think I was addicted. I actually went two days straight one weekend, husband fed me pizza and beer and was actually worried about me. He said the song would get in his dreams (LOL). Then my house got broken into and my X-Box was stolen. I got another one and bought the game again but the thought of starting over really turned me off.
TTC#1 since Feb 2011 With an RE since 2012 August 2012/March 2014: Med cycles, 5 IUIs, 5 IVFs and nothing. Diagnosed with Premature Ovarian Failure (POF)
We adopted four embryos! Transferred 2 - they both took!!! Rebecca & Sara born at 23 weeks on 04/06/15. Rest in peace my angels. May 2016 - Transferred one embryo. BFP on 5/11!! We are due in January 2017!
I don't like even #s. I'm a bit OCD about it. Volume has to be set at an odd #, timers and alarms have to be set to odd times, I eat my plain m&ms in 3s...

We do the exact same thing, and are starting Far Cry tonight, after just finishing the newest Assassin's Creed! It's good together time. And the memory is pretty cool!

That's the saddest thing ever! We would cry for days if something ever happened to our gaming consoles! I can totally see how you wouldn't start all over again. Have you gotten into any other game since?

Skyrim...aghh! DH and I played it for 5 months straight. Every night. Every weekend. One of my favorite games of all time.
I have a music degree in jazz and a degree in classical music. I go both ways, as I like to tell my students.
I have a degree in music too! Piano major. Right now I'm a professional piano accompanist for a high school choir and for a local university's music department.

Nice! I'm a vocalist. We would work well together
Awesome! I took 5 semesters of voice lessons as well (:

That's really exciting! I wish I knew how to study more efficiently. I get distracted too easily. Thankfully I'll finally finish my degree this year after starting in Fall of 2010.

Have you listened to the Serial podcast yet? If you haven't yet, you must because it's right up your alley. The guy isn't on death row, but the factors of the case are fascinating.
I live in the city, on the fringe of a park. About seven summers ago, we noticed a litter of adorable kittens romping around in the grass--it didn't take long to realize that they were feral. Three litters and nearly a year later, the boyfriend (now husband) and I could coax them onto our porch to feed them. After lots of research, we started catching them one by one and taking them to a local low-cost spay/neuter clinic referred to as TNR (trap, neuter, return). I learned that I could get a better rate on the surgery (for 10 cats in our backyard colony) if I volunteered, so I started going each weekend to give vaccines and assist in surgery. We still see nine of the ten cats on a regular basis, and despite their feral nature, they nuzzle and purr to us. Getting them to trust me took years, but it has been one of the more gratifying things I've accomplished.
As an unforeseen bonus, I was able to use my brief stint in veterinary medicine to earn a position selling stuff to dermatologist in human medicine. Thank goodness I'm married, or else I would be a real cat lady!

Our oldest 2 cats (brother and sister) were from an abandoned, feral litter that someone had rescued. They are now the smooshiest lumps of love ever. Wouldn't trade them for any designer cats in the world!
