We had our second IUi today. Now I have to start using a progesterone cream for the next two weeks. Have anyone else used it? Advice on application/side effects? Does my partner have to be careful not to get any on her?

the only way I've taken them are PIO and vaginal. I have worked at a dr office where women used the cream, alternating in different spots per day. I would call your dr but my guess is as long as she's not rubbing it on then she's fine. Otherwise if she is, a good hand wash afterwards should keep the transfer to a min.
Also not a Dr and never used the cream, but the only thing that would happen to her (i think!) if she got it on her is that it could mess with her cycle a little.
****loss and living child discussed***** We're queer. I'm 34, have severe stage 4 endo, and both fallopian tubes are gone. My love ("Manada" 33) was diagnosed with diminished ovarian reserve. We did Partner IVF (my eggs, her uterus). We lost our twins Tav.in and Ca.sey at 21 weeks gestation.
Fair enough. Thanks for your replies. I should have said, it's vaginal that you insert like a tampon. Used it this morning and it wasn't a big deal. This I was just curious because I hadn't used it yet.

gotcha! As for side effects, progesterone makes me sleepy and screws with my digestion. In addition, progesterone is one of the main hormones produced in pregnancy so it can lead to pregnancy-like symptoms.
Also, in case your RE neglected to mention it, if you're on progesterone (depending on the dose and your body), you may not get your period until you stop it. This can be confusing and cause false hope for people who assume they must be pregnant (despite negative pregnancy tests) because they have missed their period.
(Of course, I hope that's a moot clarification because you get positive pregnancy tests)

I second everything above! I used the progesterone suppositories, and one thing I didn't know at first was that they make a TON of gross discharge. And mine were a peachy color too, which occassionally looked like spotting (but was actually just the suppository), so don't worry if you see that. Good luck!
