I have a 7 month old dd and in the last 2-3 weeks she has really decreased how much milk she is drinking during the day while I'm at work. Yesterday she nursed at 5 am and the had about 2 ounces until I came home (4pm). At which point I nurse on demand and it's been about very hour until bedtime and then she nurses 3 or 4 times during the night. She does eat some solid food during the day in between her bottles of BM.
This sounds like she has reversed cycled which I'm totally okay with but I would like some reassurance that this is ok. Any experience you can share?
This does sound like reverse cycling, or, it could be a growth spurt, wonder week (if you believe in that), teething, etc... LO goes up and down with how much milk he drinks during the day and how much he nurses with me while I'm home. Last week, he drank a lot while I was away and only nursed a handful of times. This weekend, he's been all about the boob all the time. Hopefully, things will go back to normal for you soon!
It's not ideal, but as long as you are nursing on demand while you are together it's fine for now. DS did something very similar at DC and it lasted about a week.
