If you won an insane lottery jackpot what ridiculous thing would you buy? I was talking with a coworker about this today. I would do a lot of good stuff (Fund a rescue shelter for the woman who we got our pups from - her dream is to run a shelter and not simply foster), the responsible stuff (pay student debt -God knows it will take a jackpot to pay them off in my lifetime), but the insane, only $100 millionaire problems, splurge kinda stuff...
I would only wear brand new socks. Never again would I "suffer" through having to feel anything but soft cushiony cotton on my feet. This comes from the guy who wears them inside out so I don't feel the pilly inside or the rough seams a la William Forester.

I would definitely have a personal chef to cook my meals! Probably a private jet with a pilot on my beckon call so that I can travel and visit my family all over whenever I want!
Definitely a jet and pilot. I forget where we were, but there were tons of commercials for a coop jet service on TV. Just pool $250,000/yr or so and you can charter a jet with up to something like 12 or 15 people in the lower 48. Prices increase with size of party and locations available, but you only needed like 48 or 72 hours notice. I was like who do I know that would go in with me?...then I remembered $250,000 split even 15 ways is way more than affordable, and I don't know 15 people I'd be interested in chartering a jet with. Lol!
And a masseuse on retainer. I wouldn't give up giving my wife massages, but this has long been a unidirectional practice.
Yes, This is a must! My wife will get her own massages too, no doubt, but no matter how well my wife can give a massage for true therapy nothing beats a professional!
I'm not sure I would get anything super ridiculous. But I would most likely buy/build a hybrid tugboat yacht and my buy my own island... lol. Got to be ready for when the world financial market crashes after you win this insane lottery jackpot... that or zombies come out.
but there is a long list of the responsible stuff to do first after getting out of debt.
Yes definitely an island and a castle. I've always wanted a castle. Secret passages and perhaps a moat.
Yeah responsible stuff...my whole life has been responsible stuff. I'm perry sure if I won an insane jackpot student loans would be paid, I'd buy a modest SUV to replace my aging Carolla, and purchase a not too crazy home with a great yard for the insane number of shelter animals my with and I would be able to afford to adopt. I've promised myself I'd give the woman we got our current pups from enough cash to open her own shelter (that's her dream - to continue rescuing dogs from high kill shelters). Other than that I don't think much would change. I'd still go to work. I'd be able to open a private practice with limited hours so I could be home with the kiddos part-time. I'd likely still be wearing that blue "future force" YMCA t-shirt I got when I was 15. It's like my version of Seinfeld's "golden boy".
But I just might never wear the same pair of socks again. Lol!
