@mx2 @sing2phins - I'm so late to this, but seriously, I live like 15-20 min from there! I didn't realize you guys were so close (I tought everyone from this area moved away)
On a side note, if you all want to move someplace warm why don't you come to az? We were in the high 80's last week, and when I say it was cold and rainy today I mean it was rainy and 65 degrees!
But in the summer it's 140 degrees there. I couldn't handle that.
I take that back. 2 summers ago, when I was pregnant, we went and visited SIL & fam at the end of July in Ft. Worth. I think it was like 115, but we barely left their house.
shelbster I can't talk my DH into moving to CA because of the high COL and taxes. I would move there in a heartbeat.
Ya, the taxes are a bitch..I guess I don't feel the COL as much bc I don't know any different…I'll take the trade off of being able to wear my flip flops year 'round though!

Yes, COL and taxes are high, but pay is generally better, too.
That said, it's very tough moving from a LCOL state to a very HCOL state. For instance, home values here are high. We could sell our condo here, and with the equity we have purchase a pretty nice home in cash out of state. It's much easier to move out of CA than it is to move to CA.

I feel like I got punched in the nose and my nasal cavity is super swollen, along with a very sore throat. I look like a cartoon character or a nose job gone wrong.
Anyone have quick remedies for swollen sinuses? I have a vball tourney all day and need to kick this.

Oh no! Hot shower and Aleve cold and sinus are my go to.
I guess I don't understand the reasoning behind girls getting two points. Was he given a reason or are we to assume it's because it's SO HARD for a girl to score?
He wasn't. He thinks it's a misguided effort to ensure that girls are given the ball, but it certainly comes across as being so doubtful about a woman's abilities to score that any resulting goal is worth double.
The sad thing is that when I googled looking for a reason, several rec leagues' rules came up and they all had that in there.
cagoldi yep Friday was my last day, it was bittersweet because I am sad to leave my job but it' was inevitable because one we have #2 we can't afford two in day care, plus I was getting very burnt out and the commute was killing me. I am so excited to have a few years at home.
I hope you get some better advice and a better treatment plan at urgent care today & A starts feeling better before your trip.
We are officially bottle free. I didn't even plan it. Yesterday after bath time I forgot to make a bottle, we just started reading books instead and when I remembered I thought, well, lets try just giving her a sippy instead. No complaints. So today during our bed time routine I handed her a sippy and again, no complaints. I'm kind of sad. I guess I'll pack away the bottles tomorrow.
I'm really happy it was an easy transition & also totally jealous.
