Because I'm going back to work on the 16th im wondering how everyone gets your LO to go down for a nap? I normally nurse to sleep but this won't be an option and I'd like to start trying some other methods..... How does everyone else do it? Thank you!!! You all give such great advice. My Mom will be watching him so I want to give her some suggestions ....

^this for sure. DS loves to lay on my chest and I gently rock him up and down while patting his back. Works almost every time, sometimes I have to add a paci into the mix. I wait for him to be tired first an when I see him yawning consistently I'll do this.
I swaddle her and put her in her crib. Lately I need a pacifier, too. Put in white noise and leave her to fall asleep on her own. She fusses for 5 minutes or less. If she fusses longer, I go in, give her a short cuddle, and try again.

I nurse him. I'll cradle him in my arms and pat his booty. I'll lay him down with a binky. The swing, or the bounce chair. I'll bounce it lightly with my foot and usually fold laundry.

Bouncy chair is our go to. I'm using it right now! It used to have a vibration thing, but it got lost during the move. I may need to buy a new one because it was super awesome...

Rocking or bouncing to sleep. The dictator is a fan of falling asleep in our arms while we are walking around. I'll go looking for the cats and narrate the whole time. I go in all the rooms in the house and he's normally asleep about half way through. Other times I'll read to him until he falls asleep. He seems to be soothed by our voices so it works. Plus we can read whatever since he can't understand it yet
I wrap her up in her Halo swaddle sack and put her in her RnP. So far, she's pretty good to nap. Sometimes she does prefer to be held, but 9/10 times, the swaddle and RnP will do it for her.
