I know it's early and I haven't done that much research, but do strollers really cost $700?? The few twin ones I've seen seem to be about that much. Is this what people pay??
Also, do I just need a separate stroller for my toddler or is there a toddler attachment to the twin stroller?

I plan to use the Baby Jogger City Select w/ the 2nd seat. I couldn't really fathom a triple stroller even though DD is still very much stroller-dependent. The CS made a lot of sense to me because of it's versatility - I figure when it is just me and the twins, I can use it with 2 car seat adapters and 2 car seats. When I have all 3 kids on my own either DD can ride in the stroller seat and one of the twins in the car seat attachment while I wear the other baby or both babies can be in the stroller while DD is on a glider board. If I have another adult with me DD can ride in her umbrella stroller. In terms of cost, the City Select with second seat is close to $700 full price but I've seen several deals for it over the past 6 months on Albeebaby, Amazon etc. for $500. Personally, I got the single City Select (2013 edition) on sale from Albeebaby for $300 and then I paid full price for a second seat kit...it all came out under $500, which I thought was quite good.
began TTC 2009 N&A, our b/g twins born and lost 3/7/12 at 20 weeks due to PPROM N (girl), 6/26/13 E&A (b/g twins), 4/5/15 BFP 3/27/17, EDD 12/3/17 IVF veteran with multiple losses - feel free to ask me about it.
We got a combi twin sport and a double snap and go for the early days. We are a light stroller use family though so it may not suit your needs. You can get a glider board for your toddler to ride along if needed.
I also have a Combi Twin Sport and I love it! There's a newer version out now, and it retails at around $250. I found ours on sale for around $180. So, no, it's not necessary to spend $700.
I have a snap n go from target that was clearanced for $40 and a Chicco double umbrella that was clearanced for around $90. They are fine for what I need.
We have the baby trend sit and stand double stroller ($180) but we are getting ready to buy the kolcraft contours optima double stroller ($299). The baby trend was great while they were smaller and had the matching car seats that attached to it but now that they are older we need something where the seat reclines and they can face each other. One is always kicking the back of the one who sits in the front.
I went to our local twins group sale and got 2 car seats (don't judge!) And 2 double strollers, one snap and go- and one umbrella style for about $120. If you dont mind used, thats a great way to go! :-)
