So I was told I would ovulate 12-36 hours post trigger. I took my trigger Wednesday night. Out of curiosity I have been using opks to see what they look like and I have had strong positives Thursday, Friday, and today. Is this the result of the trigger in my system? Should we BD just in case? DH has been a trooper-back to back samples in the morning and BD last night. I've read washed sperm doesn't live as long. Am I totally overthinking this?

Lurking
HCG and LH (what OPK's test for) are very similar chemically so that is probably what your OPKs are picking up on, which is why HCG works as a trigger. Based on when your trigger was, you have likely already ovulated by last night at the latest so I doubt it would help. I have also heard that washed sperm doesn't live as long but you did have sex last night so I think you are good. FYI I tested out my trigger and still had a clear + HCG strip at 9 days after trigger (7dpo).
