Let your LO be exposed outdoors? Meaning.... I live in NW Illinois ans the temps have been brutal so we have a JJ cole bundle me covering the car seat.... Well once the temps get up in the 50's (hopefully they will at some point this month) when is it considered ok for my LO to not have his face covered? This may seem like a silly question but he gets very warm in the bundle me almost too warm and when it's warmer and sunny out I don't want him to get too hot... Just wondering what is an ok temp for his face to be exposed?
We went for a short walk in the coach in 45 degree weather with his face uncovered. I just checked his nose/cheeks for temperature and came home when he got chilled.
We go for walks several times per week in 50's temps. He still has a hat and is bundled, but his face is exposed, and he seems fine. I don't know if this is what you mean.
It's in the 50's here and I always use a hat outside and have a car seat cover (the only like a blanket) if it's a little cooler I'll put a blanket over his lap too. There us usually a breeze here which us why I keep the car seat cover on.
It's been high 50's here when I go for walks with her in the ergobaby carrier. Her face is always uncovered, and TBH, she never wears a hat either. They never stay on, I think it's because of the shape of her head. Besides that, she is always toasty warm when we get home.
It's been between 0 and -5C lately (I think 25ish F) and we've gone out every day. When driving I have 2 or 3 onesies, a toque, mits and a blanket over her body. When we walk in the ergo/stroller it's usually two onesies, a thick furry onesie, mits and a toque (and blanket if in stroller). Her face is uncovered but we don't have much wind. She is always very toasty when we come in. I just check the temp of her face regularly to be safe.

I rarely cover his face if it's just in and out of the car. Maybe put a blanket over his face if it's windy. But it's been single digits and teens with below zero wind chill and he's done fine. I'm so thankful for the warm up this week though.
I have 4 little bears, just like my name says. 2 girls 2 boys ages 8,5,3, and my newest babe. 2 of my little bears have life threatening food allergies, feel free to ask me more about that!

When I was stir crazy and it was cold I put C in the wrap like this. I don't worry too much in his car seat unless it's windy and then I just toss the cover over it and go.
We take him outside with just a hat covering his head. We only put a blanket over him if it's windy or icky out. I think I've seen one day above 30 degrees since he was born
