Similarly, they won't do fresh IUIs with gay or bisexual men's sperms because of homophobia (and HIV-phobia related to homophobia) even if you pretended not to be a surrogate.
Finally, a fertility clinic may require you to go through their counsellors and have very specific legal contracts, which could also really increase the costs.
Again, this may all be old news or stuff that you've already thought about/dealt with, and my apologies if it is. I would hate, though, for you all to go into a clinic and then be faced with a lot of unexpected procedure, delay, and cost, especially since so much of it is based in heteronormativity.
