I think if you're not really in pain and you're not even sure you hit your belly, then maybe just wait until tomorrow morning, but definitely bring it up at your appointment. But if you're hurting, bleeding, and/or just don't feel right then absolutely call and see what the doctor says.

I agree. If nothing unusual is happening, I'd just wait until tomorrow. Glad it wasn't worse!

Thanks, that's kind of what I was thinking. I just know falling while you're pregnant warrants a call to the OB but I always assumed it was a fall where you actually come down on your back or stomach or something. This is what I miss about pre-pregnancy days- not over analyzing everything!

If it eases your mind a bit, I got "hit" by accident in the belly a few weeks ago. The nurse told me to come in and they checked the heart beat and everything was fine. My Dr told me that I would have to get hit with a lot of force to actually cause harm to the baby. I know it's hard not to worry about every little thing, but just try to relax unless you really feel something is off.

How awful! I'm with everyone else- if you feel ok and don't have any bleeding or spotting, I think if would be OK to wait until your appointment tomorrow morning to talk to the Dr. If you start not feeling right or notice any other changes, you should definitely call. Sounds like both you and LO are probably fine, but I can certainly understand the concern. Hope everything goes perfectly tomorrow!

I think if you're feeling alright and that there's no bleeding, you should be ok to talk to your doc tomorrow.

Is there a nurses line you could call to ask if you start to worry? When I fell during my pregnancy with DD, I called our health link number. The nurse asked a series of questions and based on how I answered, gave me direction.

Strange how different doctors can be, when I was pg with DD2 I tripped while running and pretty much did a full frontal splat on the concrete, definitely hit my belly. They didn't want to see me unless I started bleeding or felt like I was leaking fluid.

I'm so sorry you had an accident. Poor thing! I wouldn't worry too much if you are not feeling any pain. Sounds like the impact was on your knee. And I hope you only get a small bruise on your knee or less. Understandable that you would be worried. Just take it easy, rest, eat and see how you feel tomorrow. Let us know if anything changes. Oh thanks for the update and advice for future if I ever fall over. I tend to play everything down. Didn't know about tearing the placenta from a fall. I would expect pain. Glad you got chceked out and all is well

So glad everything is ok! My balance is so off when pregnant and have fallen a few times with each pregnancy. I don't call the doctor unless there is any pain, bleeding or lack of movement.
