So I know I'm always asking a hundred questions but I have googled and can only find the answer for EBF and I'm EP. But my supply is really cutting down a lot and I'm having to supplement with formula. I'm just curious as to how I know if I've completely drained my breast. Sometimes I will pump and around twenty minutes no more milk is coming out even if I massage my breast so I always wait the extra five to make sure it's completely drained and then Sometimes not even 5 minutes later I start leaking again so how do I know if I'm truly done emptying my breasts out so my baby is getting the full amount he needs and my supply will go back up! Thanks for always being super helpful everyone!

When I'm done pumping I always hit the let down button to try and stimulate a second one. I'd feed your LO then pump after to get that second let down and stimulate more
I find in the beginning my milk is very clear and runs down the flange quickly. At the end it's thicker, creamy white and is slow to move down the flange. When I get to the second part of the milk I described, I stop pumping after that stops.
Edited to add, I do not pump after empty to encourage a second letdown because I have an oversupply.
You all are the best I didn't know you can have a second let down! I've tried power pumping but that didn't help much sadly. But I'm going to a try a few more times today to see if it helps.
@nursesouder sorry I should've put all that! I'm 6 weeks Pp today. I usually pump 6-10 times a day depending on if I work or not. If I don't work I try and pump a little more than that! I'm usually getting around 1 1/2 to 2 1/2 ounces per boob it all depends.
