In honor of Dr. Seuss' Birthday, tell us 2 things,

1.  The shoes that are on your feet at this moment/or earlier today if you are barefoot. We want brand names and styles.

2.  Your favorite Dr. Seuss book, either as a child or an adult.

I am wearing pink and silver VANS skate shoes because it is jean day at work. I feel the glitter make them dressy.

My favorite Dr. Seuss book has always been Green Eggs and Ham. "I do not want green eggs and ham, I do not want them Sam I am..."

I am currently wearing black sketcher slip on shoes - i dislocated part of my foot a while back and it is still a little sensitive to wearing heels. So - the sketchers are comfy and don't LOOK like sneakers so I can get away with wearing them

I've always liked the Marvin K Moody book - but green eggs and ham is good too.

Well I am wearing Land's End winter boots in a lovely aqamarine color, because it is still winter, and still snowing.

I think my favorite Dr. Suess book right now is Fox in Socks. I love all the tongue twisters.

I'm wearing chinese laundry sparkly toed black flats (one of the many pairs of shoes that live under my desk since I walk about a mile each way from the train so in the winter that's in boots and in the summer cute sneakers or flip flops).

I'm torn between the Lorax and the Grinch...my mom loved the Lorax so I think I like it more bc if reminds me of her, but I love the message in the Grinch (and his cute dog). When the hoos down in hooville are signing even without gifts, I still get all emotional (I'm a huge sap).

Oh I'll play! I just took off my grey Hunter rain boots. It is rainy and slushy out. Bonus: I just picked up a package that contains a pair of Vans - grey with leather detailing. If they fit they will be my official spring sneaks!

I'm wearing dark brown Dansko clogs. I'd blame it on the fact that I'm on my feet all day at work, but I'd be lying...I wear these things every day. They are so comfy!

I'm currently wearing slippers because I just came in from the barn - but I was wearing my giant waterproof Muck Boot Company "chore" boots.

My favorite Dr. Suess book is "Green Eggs and Ham." Although the book I read so many times the pages were falling out is "Are You My Mother?" (Not Dr. Suess, but same kind of book)

momtex I have been pleasantly surprised by some target shoes I got recently when DH left one of my bags behind when we went away for the weekend. They're really comfy and cute. I even got heels and running shoes and they were both great deals.

I've been barefoot most of the day because I am working from home and I'd go barefoot everywhere if I didn't think I'd get side-eyed. Earlier today though I did have on some Ann Klein brown flats to run to the store. My favorite shoes lately have been Nine West ankle boots with about a one inch box heel to wear to work.

I like the Grinch too... but I remember reading Hop on Pop with DD when she was learning to read a very long time ago (she's over 18 now) so that's going to be my favorite today.

happyktmom, I got that book and a stamp pad as a shower gift with DD. In the blank spaces we did foot prints each month for the first year to see how her feet changed.

luvmyponies, Are you my mother was my favorite book too. I read it to DD and have her doing the SNORT sound now.

Ladies, I am impressed by how many of you mentioned the less known Suess books as your favorites. He wrote so many, it is easy to forget there were more than just the popular classics.

I'm wearing Bass boots (just blew the knee, 2 inch heel, black). I love shoes but my summer selection is much more fun than my winter one...which I'm wayyyy over at this point.

My favorite Suess book growing up was The Cat in the Hat, but I admittedly do not remember too many others from my own childhood. Both of my boys love The Foot Book now

And my favorite Dr. Seuss book is "Oh the Places You'll Go." I'm known to give the hardcover collector's edition away as gifts at graduation parties...especially HS. However I have yet to have a copy!

2. I confess that I never really cared for Dr. Seuss but when I graduated from high school was given "Oh the Places You'll Go" and love that book.

My sister, however, loves his books and gave my kids several which they loved so we had a Dr. Seuss themed birthdy party for them one year which was fun.

bearfootz, It is never too late to talk about shoes. I love the Dr. Seuss themed birthday party. You don't see much of that anymore. Very creative and unique.
