I feel like DD just went through a huge developmental growth spurt. She is suddenly imitating everything we say and do and comprehending everything. It's crazy. Her latest skill is making fishy lips, it kills me every time! She has been fighting with a bout of croup for a couple days, so tonight I got her back up to give her a nebulizer treatment and she was watching star wars on the couch with DH well past bedtime. She actually sat and watched it and had a running commentary pointing and talking at the screen. She was saying "vroom vroom" whenever she saw a spaceship, and then at one point she had her arms up in the air attempting to use the force! Thankfully the force is not a skill she has mastered yet or we would have never gotten her to bed I feel like she is too young for this grown up toddler behavior, where did my baby go???
Yay! I go back and forth between missing my baby and loving to see her grow and explore.
Same here! I LOVE watching her grow and develop, she is such a little girl already, so smart, and she thinks she has life all figured out. She cracks us up every day, constantly. But I do still think wistfully of her baby days. Parenting is such an amzing journey. I had no idea how much joy it would bring to our lives. I thought I knew, but I guess you can never really understand it until you feel it.

This exactly! DD told me a long story last night while in the bath and it was so stinking cute! I'm excited for when she uses actual english words to tell stories and I can understand but it is bitter sweet to see the baby growing up.
