Hey yall. Just got back from E's ent appointment. We are getting tubes. I'm so excited. Seriously. I hope this is the fix it for my sweet baby.
The ent was all like, let me tell you all the advantages yadda yadda. I said, newp, don't need to know. I'm on an online forum and I know all about these from my online friends!
Side eye ensued, but wtf cares? Lolz.
LOL. This is great! Yay for tubes! Wish we'd gotten them sooner. So happy for E; she will start feeling so much better.
Snowing like crazy here. MH is home, too, but I don't mind. We run our mornings as if he's at work. He goes down to the office, works some, showers down there, and I follow my normal routine upstairs. He comes up around 1130, and then we co- parent. Today's co- parenting plan is MH playing with Josie while I watch Gone Girl. I have the worst AF after the miscarriage, but at least I'm back on track and we can start trying again.

untaggablekatie thanks! Happily something real did come up, and he went out in the snow and came back with an egg sandwich for me, so he's not totally on my shit list, just kinda.
wedding, that is a rough few days, FX today gets better!
The beast took a nap, so she's being much nicer. Staying in all day is looking better!
I'm in the market for black out blinds, they are becoming a necessity - does anyone know where I can get some that are affordable, our lease is up in August and we plan on moving, so I don't want to invest heavily in our unique window sizes. TIA

We just got the cheapy pressurized rods and got black-out curtains from Target. There were already blinds in the windows and curtains hung, so you can't even see the black-out panels when they're up, in between the blinds and curtains. And no new holes in the sill. Could you do something like that?

The windows are pretty much flush with the edging around them(I'm sure there's a technical term I'm not using). I already bought curtains for the entire house, but I didn't think about how the baby's room faces east when I picked them out. I don't like waking with the dawn.
I think I need to buy curtain rods and curtains, I currently have the pull down honeycomb blinds in her room. I didn't think of target, I'll check there! I've already been on Amazon and ikea without much luck. Thanks!

We are dismissed at noon and DH was let out at 11. He said the roads were terrible. He got E and will put her down for her nap so I'm looking forward to some quiet time to eat my lunch and relax once I get through the mess that is the roads.
Busy day packing for our trip. Taking A to the pedi again today. She wants to see him one more time before we leave town. I'm thinking she might want to do prednisone again, but we'll see. Poor kid gets a cold and just never kicks the cough on his own.
Oh, and I started my period early. Not awesome. I am not looking forward to driving to Vegas tomorrow while my uterus feels like it's in a vice. I need to remember my flask and bring all the chocolate.
I am not jealous of the snow, but I think a snow day sounds awesome. Closest thing we ever got were early releases, when they would dismiss school at 1:30 because it was too hot in the classrooms.
tgrimes1980, I'm sorry. He sounds like an ass! Don't let him ruin your day though! Next time, you will know exactly who you are dealing with and can give as good as you get if the situation calls for it.
I saw a cute article today about how you're never too old to parent. The author said her dad still checks on her when the weather is bad to see if she has enough food. It's so sweet and made me think of my dad, still wanting to know when I arrive somewhere safely and asking me if I need him to run errands when I'm sick. I hope my dude likes me when he's an adult and still let's me do nice things for him.

I'm in so much trouble And for the record, she is being told she can't do this, but I had to snap a picture before taking her down or laugh while doing it, losing my credibility.
Does anyone else feel like no matter how much they clean that the house always looks like a tornado hit it?
Always. Smilz posted something cute on FB earlier this week about finding the key to cleaning the house. It involved removing toddler from house and then making sure toddler doesn't step foot in the house again. I'm probably telling it wrong, but I smiled because it's oh so true. As long as L is living with me, my house with forever be a tornado. Haha
And I miss the newborn stage too, so much! That is probably a UO but I really loved it. MH did not enjoy it though, he is anxious to have another one ASAP so he can get through it and be done with it.
Note that I have seen toddler tantrums, the newborn stage seems easier. Ava still wakes the same amount as a newborn so I think im prepared! Lol. Your UO is my UO

That's why I gave up trying. When I tried, she was behind me throwing things everywhere or jumping on my back. What's the point?
I clean during the day when he's gone. When he's home, I tidy us as he finishes using a toy or try to put away laundry while he plays nearby, etc. TBH, it's a practice in futility. As I am cleaning one area, he is destroying something else nearby.
