I used to play volleyball in the summer. But I need to get working out again like stat and I am soooo not good at motivating myself so solitary sports aren't for me.
Anyone have any luck with something like water polo?! (Ha, like that's ever going to happen!)
I haven't done a team sport since college when I played soccer; however, I do group exercise classes so that's kind of like it...?
And good luck with water polo. Please post pics asap of you doing that.
I was a lifeguard for years and as an exercise to keep us all fit we'd have to play water polo every once in a while. Oh my lord I hated it, I always swallowed so much water when I inevitably sank!
And babybarlow2014 ya, I live in a smallish city and I really don't know what's out there for me. Maybe some classes like jcrewgirl suggests.
I have absolutely no skill in sports whatsoever. That's why I only did dance when I was younger. Zero chance of me getting nailed in the face with a ball.
When I first moved here I joined an ultimate frisbee team, there's an adult league in the city. Other than that I haven't played team sports since school - netball and lacrosse
becole I've always wanted to learn golf, when I worked in the private sector I took a couple of lessons so I wouldn't be useless in tournaments. I can't say it really helped much... hahaha
That being said, it probably would be a good one for me to focus on. Next year the hubby and I are joining a curling league. So there's that too.

This is me. Dance and cheerleading. I did okay tennis though for a couple years in high school. I was alright I guess. You didn't have to try out lol. I have always wanted to take an adult dance class but they only offer ballroom dancing.
Not a traditional team sport but my work has a running team that im on. I used to do softball but I don't think ill do it again. I think ill wait until LO is doing sports to participate (by coaching).

I play soccer in the summer in an adult rec league. SO FUN. I played last yr, just 6 wks after DS was born, and it went well. I'll def be playing again this summer.
Im trying to get into running. My friend signed up for some fun 5ks this summer, but my knee is bugging me. Ordered new shoes the other day in hopes that will help.
I started horseback riding lessons last summer, hopefully I'll be able to get back into it this summer. I'm not much for team sports ever since I was a kid. Now, golf, tennis, hot yoga.

Oh, I miss horseback riding! I had a horse growing up, but haven't been riding is so many years.
I never played team sports growing up. I was always a klutz and was too afraid I would mess up and disappoint the rest of the team. I started running with a group 4 years ago and that's a good fit for me. It provides camaraderie but if I'm having a bad day running, it doesn't necessarily impact anyone else. I'm starting back up with group runs at the end of the month and looking forward to it.
I used to be really quite fit and did lots of running and some MMA. I need to be fit for work but had planned to be a SAHM after DS was born so this was the perfect excuse not to don the running shoes again and stay cosy in my house.
Anyway - our financial situation has changed unfortunately and it looks like I'm heading back to work. I'm devastated obviously because I was so looking forward to being at home with the kids.....but I am now also in panic mode because I am so unfit and only have a few weeks left to get back into shape!! Stupid work ha ha.
