Sorry, this is a long guilt ridden vent!! My parents are currently here to celebrate DS's 2nd birthday which was Tuesday and for the impending birth of DD. When that happens, we tend to have lousy bedtimes. (Obviously, we're all downstairs playing with his grill and watching garbage truck videos on YouTube when he goes to bed, right?!) Top that off with the full moon which for some reason also tends to cause a lousy night of sleep - and you get quite the restless night.
So last night when he was fussing constantly, we went in once in awhile to remind him it was dark and sleeping time and then we left and he'd cry again. (Usually he's a 12 hour silent sleeper) Almost every time we went in, he asked for a new diaper, which is really odd for him. We did it once because it was pretty wet but we just kept putting him down. We did give him tylenol a couple times in case it was a molar. That would calm him down for a little while but not long. Just a miserable long night.
FF to this snowy morning, he wouldn't walk unless I carried him. I changed him and noticed that his 2nd toe on one foot was pointing at a weird angle - it had gotten caught inside his sock, inside the zip up PJs, and was bent funny and dark red. (Luckily not black and blue, thank goodness.) We called the dr to see if we should do anything special other than just let it fall back to its normal spot and he had us check a few things and gave us the all clear in the serious injury department. But yeah. We feel awesome. This is where a little more language would be super helpful!!!!!
