Found lice on my daughter's head. Between the shoveling of snow and the frantic washing of everything and tears and drama, I'm ready for today to be over.
Anyone BTDT and reassure me that these little fuckers die quickly?

I had it in the 3rd grade. The shampoo + my mom combing the shit out of my hair did the trick. We washed all my bedding and clothes and it never came back. Good luck!
unfortunately it's not a quick fix. Get lice shampoo, a lice comb, and be prepared to have to spray your furniture. Limit her contact with other bedding. Once you get rid of them, use tea tree oil in her hair. You can buy it at Ulta and just put a couple drops in her shampoo every time she washes her hair.

We have been combing for 30-45 minutes now post-shampoo. Bedding in the wash, vacuumed throughout. Thank you for the tea tree oil suggestion, I am definitely getting some ASAP as I don't want to deal with this ever again.

You're going to have to do it more than once but if you're thorough, you should be able to knock it out in a week.
