Another long night last night. LO has such a hard time falling back asleep after feedings. She's all grunty and straining. I don't remember it being this hard. At least DH is home today!

Our night started out great with a 4hr stretch between feedings, but then he was back to his normal 2hrs and then an hour and a half :/. I'm so jealous of you ladies who are getting long stretches of sleep consistently. 4hrs between a feeding is cause for celebration in this house. I don't know what I would do of he decided to sleep for 6or8 hrs at a time.

I feel the same way. Even a 3h stretch is exciting for us! I hope after the 6wk growth spurt things will improve a little.

If it helps at art B didn't start having his long stretches until around 9-10 weeks. Hang in there!! It will come.
Good morning! We put LO to bed at 1030 and he slept to about 430! Then he didn't want to go back to sleep so I pulled him into bed with us and got another hour of sleep before coming downstairs to put him in his swing. I also didn't pump overnight so my boobs were killing me! This little guy is so damn smiley I cant stand it! It melts my heart and I just want to squeeze him! I know I posted about the cat pee problem I'm having. Well it seems after some investigating it isn't the cat we thought it was (we have three). We are pretty sure its my almost 16 year old cat that I've had since she was a kitten. We are going to separate her from the other cats tonight and find out for sure. I'm pretty sad about it as given her age I am sure it's a medical problem and at 16 I'm not too willing to do a lot to fix problems she is having as she no longer looks/acts like a "healthy" senior cat. Once we are sure we will have the vet out to see her. I just don't know that I'm ready to put her to sleep yet....so sad. Another day stuck indoors. I plan to get out tomorrow to buy new blinds and pillows for the guest room before my MIL gets here on Monday.
My LO sleeps an at least 4-hr stretch per night lately but she really has to wake up at 1, 3 and 5am and will be up till 7Am. She goes to bed at 9.
Still nursing my c-sec hole and trying not to be stressed out about it. I dnt want to jeopardize my recovery yet again by doing too much. And at 7w pp my light bleeding returrned. I thought 3 fsys ago that my bleeding wasAF already since it stopped adter three days. Now that it resurfaced i dnt knw what to make of it anymore. My OB said some ladies really bleed longer than others.
Well, we had our 2 month appointment yesterday, and LO did so well at the office. Only cried for about 2 minutes, then was fine as long as we were moving. She slept afterwards, then about 4.5 hours later she was screaming like I've never heard before. My poor baby. I gave her tylenol and she fell asleep (and she was wimpering in her sleep. It was so sad!), but after 2 hours it was like we hadn't given it at all. Finally after her second dose of tylenol, she calmed down enough to eat for more than 2 minutes, and she passed out. Woke up a new baby! I've never been so happy to see her smile. As for the appointment, she's doing well with her weight gain and everything is looking good! She makes me such a proud momma.
We had a pretty good run where lo was only getting up once a night and was sleeping til 6 but that ended last night. Thank God for coffee.
Lo has discovered he can grab things with his hands. It's so fun watching him grow and learn! Except he's figured out he can grab my nipple while nursing. Not cool, baby!

I'm dreading shots And C's appointment isn't until the 17th. He was 7 weeks yesterday and when I weighed him he was 13 pounds! I've got to go shopping today and get C some more clothes, he has grown out of 3 month clothes already... There is a local consignment sale today that I am going to go check out; excited to get out of the house!

This is the same with my LO. He is a little over nine weeks now, and he just started having long stretches (6.5 hours has been his longest) and it's fairly consistent! Hang in there!
Yeah, we started getting long stretches last week and she was 9 weeks on Wednesday. Now we're up to 5-6.5 hour stretches consistently.
Yesterday, I was down with the stomach flu all day, so I was excited when FI didn't have to work because of all the snow. Well, thank you winter storm Thor for taking out our power the next few days because FI was gone all day anyway. It took him more than four hours just to get the generator started but I'm thankful he did. We are able to run everything but the stove, hot water heater, and microwave off it. I guess living in a small little cabin does have its perks. Feeling better today but praying LO doesn't catch the same thing since I was primarily taking care of him all day yesterday.
We had the 2 month appointment yesterday as well. She did pretty well and I only cried a little bit. I missed her right after shots, she passed out for a bit, then woke up a little for and cranky. I gave her Tylenol and she was better. Slept well again last night and she doesn't seem sore today.
Aside from the shots, she had a great appointment. 12 lbs and 22.5". Doctor also was impressed with her muscle tone/neck control.

Yesterday was awesome! We had a snow day and dh stayed home. We built a snow man, did a workout video, made oatmeal cookies, went on a drive before dinner. Then had pizza. It was a great day. Now it's Friday and looking forward to the weekend.
Now that I'm pumping during the day at work, I come home and wash the stuff here at home for the next day. Since I have 2 sets of the shields and valves I've been using both. And yesterday while washing 1 set of valves, I lost both membranes (the white flaps) down the sink. I was pissed. This morning I get the other set out to wash, being mindful of the membranes, and yet I still lost 1 of them. My stupid machine won't pump 1 breast at a time, it has to have both shields used to get the suction going. Not what I needed today. Luckily, I'm working from home and fed lo late in the morning before taking him to daycare. I swear I had another set of valves. I can't remember if I stored it away or if dh threw it out since we had so much stuff coming home from the hospital. I may have to run to bru.
My little man is 2 months old today!!!! I have to go back to work on Sunday! Where did the time go? While I only work 3 days a week I am not ready to be away from him that long. I know he will be fine (he will be with daddy) just hard to go from being with him 24/7 to 13 hours without him. I have been snuggling/cuddling a lot more then normal just to try to get as much bonding in. OK enough of my pity party. Back to spending time with my LO
So true. Returning to work I'm scared I'll mindlessly grab at my boobs, you know to feel how heavy they are getting. And yes, bf seems to magically cure all.

Boy is finally asleep. He's been awake since 6 and it's almost 11. Now I gotta do a yoga video before he wakes up and maybe I'll have time for lunch too!
My LO is going through a phase where she does not want to nap, at all. She fights sleep all day and cries if I'm not holding her. She will sleep on me, but as soon as I try to put her down to workout or make dinner, she fusses. She does sleep 7+ hour stretches at night though.
I feel like crap..I really hope I'm not getting sick! Z is refusing to nap. I really need her to sleep a little while so I can too. Hopefully I'll feel a little better.
My sister gets into town on Monday so I'd like to at least get the living room and kitchen looking presentable. We'll see how possible that is this weekend.

And YAY! I found my extra valves.
I'm already back as of last Sunday and I have to wear a button up if I don't pump on schedule the buttons come un done and I flash everyone haha
Woke up early. Have a cranky baby. Barely having coffee and catching up on shows. Watching The Slap first and then The Mindy Project. Followed by Greys anatomy and Scandal. I would rather be outside but our neighborhood is sketchy. I want to move. I also have my medela PISA that I would like to try and sell since its brand new but I doubt I can sell it anywhere. Seems greedy but it was a big chunk of change and we just found out our school loans have increased. Is 10am too early for a glass of wine?!
I might be hallucinating again but I think Lo slept for 7 hours! In hoping this will become a trend. Ds 1 would tease me with a sttn, once in a blue moon, but didn't consistently sttn until almost 2 years old. My friend also came by with 3 gigantic bags of hand me downs so it's like free shopping, woo!
