When your toddler skips a nap, when do you put them to bed, just curious? I am thinking about putting him down an hour early because he is driving me crazy right now

Nap was skipped today and he went down an hour early and super easily. He's been refusing to sleep in his one bed the past week, but went down no problem in it tonight. If no nap means easy bed in his own room, I'm all for it.
If DD skips her nap she will probably at some point during the after start falling asleep. Maybe 10 max. If she doesn't do that I do all that I can to keep her happy till her normal bed time. If I put her down an hour early then the middle of the night wake ups happen an hour early along with a very early morning.
So i totally forgot with my last three, if you put them down an hour early, can I expect to wake up an hour early?
We don't have the hour early issue..., he usually sleeps until a decent hour most days since waking up 5x a night leaves you exhausted regardless of when you go to bed
And I take back the sleeping in his bed. He lasted one hour and then came running to our bed. Why oh why did my baby have to climb out of his crib so early/frequently??? If he would have liked the crib we wouldn't have this problem. DH is trying to cuddle him back to sleep in his room, hopefully it works, mama has a horrible headache and needs a proper sleep.
We honestly have never totally skipped a nap. We have had 45 min naps and we will put him to bed a little early but not too much. We will just keep things really low energy the end of the day (more books, a movie, etc).

We've skipped and I've done both, put him down early and kept same bed time. 95% of the time he still gets up at the same time give or take 25 minutes. However I'm a working mom so my kid is pretty scheduled with wake up time so I can't win lol
I have always kept him up but he was being difficult last night, so I put him down an hour early. What do you know he slept in till regular wake up time woohoo!
