You should definitely establish care with someone who would be able to manage your diabetes throughout your next pregnancy as well as be able to follow up regularly while you are not pregnant. Ideally this would be a diabetes specialist or endo.
This may be a better question for the Parenting or Risky Pregnancies board, as many women here have never been pregnant before. I would definitely find an OB that has experience with diabetes if I were you.
ETA: just saw you already posted on Risky Pregnancies already. Helps if I read the thread title. Monday morning is not my friend.

Oh yes, please establish care with a doctor regardless of pregnancy status. You say you are on no meds now but monitoring everythig. That's awesome! But what if something goes out of whack and you need something? You need quick access to a doctor.
