What is your kid drinking out of?

She drinks out of straw cups, sippy cups and regular cups with a straw.

We stopped using a bottle when she was 13 months old. My pedi wanted us to stop at a year, but we were also transitioning her into a toddler bed at the same time, so I didn't want to do too many big changes. She usually drinks out of a skippy cup, but can also drink out of a regular cup if I hold it, and out of a straw. If I don't hold the cup she'll still try to drink out of it, and usually ends up wearing whatever is in the cup.

Same for Iris. But she only used a bottle maybe ten times total. She was boob only until 9 months.

lovemyk, Trust me...I would have rather waited and used the crib longer. Unfortunately my monkey was able to climb out so we needed to switch. It really wasn't too bad...I put a baby gate at the door to her room so she can't wander. The main problem I had after that was her climbing her dressers. I ended up turning one backwards and removing the knobs from the second one.

DD drinks out of regular sippy cups or a cup with a lid that has a hole for a straw (I guess that is a straw cup). She can drink out of a regular cup with some help. I am just not brave enough to give her the open cup because of the mess it would make. DD has also been in a toddler bed since 13 months. She never even had a chance to climb out of the crib because she had been co-sleeping with us. I am so glad she doesn't climb her dresser. I can see that coming though. I'll have to follow your lead if that happens @auri.

Straw cups only here. We cut bottles cold turkey at a year and went straight to the straw cup.
