AW: DD is 11 months old today! Holy crap I can't believe she will be a year old soon! Also a pic from our FL trip cannot wait until spring and summer get here so we can enjoy warm weather again.

vlagroupie She is such a cutie! I can't wait for the warmer weather (even the 50's that are forecasted this week)!! I'm so ready to get DD out for some outdoor play time and walks. All the walks!
Vent...DD still has a lingering cold and now, I have it. With that being said, question for all of you...how long do colds usually last for your babies? I feel like DD has had this one lingering for a couple of weeks now. A runny nose (not awful) and a bit of a cough. I thought it was going away at the beginning of last week but her nose was running again and the cough back late last week and all weekend. I hesitate to take her to the doctor because my mommy instincts are just telling me it's a cold. But why is it lasting so long?! She's acting completely normal. Her happy little self. Hasn't had a fever in 2 weeks. Guess maybe I'm being paranoid?
ladytiffany24 DD had a runny nose for like 2 weeks. I think it's normal as long as there is no fever. Not sure on the cough tho since I've only dealt with the runny nose, but if she's breathing and not super congested sounding I think it will clear up too.
And yes excited about 50's and 60's this week. I'm thinking we have to get out for a walk at least once this week for some fresh air!

Poor little girl. My DD has a slight cold that lasted about 2weeks. Mainly a congested cough. I hope she gets better soon.

Yes---she is adorable!!! I agree with you--warm weather needs to come and stay! Definitely taking DD out in it this week:-)
AW--DD is just the happiest baby lately. Constantly smiling and even belly laughs. I don't have much to rant about. Maybe it's the sun I finally was in yesterday and those bananas I've been eating, that are supposed to help mood etc. :-)
jmebormann awww love the smile and laughs are the best! I'm off work Thursday and the weather looks nice. Message me if you can/want to walk that day ;-)
Adorable! DS has had a cold for about 2 weeks. I really thought it was getting better, but then all of a sudden it got bad again. But he doesn't seem to mind. I'm just sick of wiping his nose every 5 minutes.
AW: God bless DST. Springing forward is so much better than falling back. DS usually wakes up at 5:30 and terrorizes us while we get dressed in the morning. Today, DH and I got all ready for work and had to wake him up at 6:30, and it was such an easy peaceful morning!
One more AW: First steps this weekend! I definitely wouldn't say he's "walking," but we got a solid right-left-right-left-crash yesterday.
We just moved his bed time from 6:30 old time to 7:30 new time (so same to him). It messed up his nap yesterday but I'm hoping we get back on schedule. I'd much rather him get up at 7 than 6.
A doctor told us that adults get over a cold in 7-10 days but babies get over colds in 2-3 weeks...
That's exactly what our peds told me this weekend. LO is congested and I keep sucked the snot out but it keeps coming she coughs and sneezes from time to time. They said as long as it doesn't bother her treat like hiccups. Watch for a fever or her not eating otherwise, they said it normal. I call 3x lol to confirm.
JoBub - Yay for first steps! It's so exciting watching them learn!
Rant: I feel like I'm never going to dig out of the hole my predecessor left me at work. I seriously want to know what this girl was doing all day, and why nobody noticed nothing was getting done.
sstwinklinglites that sucks that you are having to clean up her mess. How's working from home with DS going? I've been looking for a DC for DD so I can work an extra 2 days and everyone around us is full until June!

vlagroupie that baby in that outfit... omg. Love. sstwinklinglites ditto on the how is work going besides being crazy? Is the schedule working out at home?
Rant- don't really have much of one. Same crazy story too much to do, too little time.
Rant: I got the dreaded yellow exclamation point on my restart button on the computer. I finally have time to read and post here, and now I have to restart, which in this building takes anywhere from 10 to 87,000 minutes.

vlagroupie & narbuckle01 - It's going well. DS is generally an easy baby, unless something's bugging him. So I've been able to rotate him between the jumper, PNP, & play pen, and of course nap time. Also, I've been doing a fair amount of work at night once he's in bed. I don't plan on that being the norm, but while I'm trying to catch up, it helps.
babylove518 - It's one of the cutest things isn't it? Baby smiles and giggles are just adorable.
babylove518 I can't wait for baby giggles. I get a lot of smiles, but half the time it's probably gas. Giggles let you know it's legit.
My rant: ILs leave tomorrow. The visit has been fine, I just want my house and kids back. I let MIL hold the baby as much as she wants, and when FIL is playing with DS1 I stay away or DS1 only wants me. All this means I haven't spent as much time with them as I'd like. Plus, FIL is driving me nuts. I try to hide it, but it's getting hard!
Can I just say - since when does changing positions on the couch mean breathing as if I've just run a mile?! That would be my biggest rant for today!
Edit: I can figure out to delete this, but meant to post on my birth month board. Can you tell I'm rapidly approaching 3rd trimester and pregnancy brain is in full effect?
