aves0708, have you tried chicken noodle soup? It's basically the only thing I can eat. Every once in a while I can stomach a pbj. So I pretty much only eat bread and noodles now which isn't even part of our normal diet lol. Oh well. But if you don't mind soup, maybe it'll agree with your stomach.

I have the snoogle. DH hates it because it touches him and makes him hot lol (although he does admit, when I'm working nights, when it's in bed it makes him feel like I'm still there lol - he hates when I'm not in bed with him). I feel like when sleeping on my side I already need some support on my belly, so it helps with that. But then sometimes I end up waking up on my back, which will probably be really uncomfortable when I get bigger so hopefully I'll just stay put as the belly grows.

astop87 - Blech, I'm sorry that you're dealing with that nasty cold. I hope that you feel better soon. GL with tomorrow's appointment, I hope that it brings you the news that you are looking for.
bostongirl617 - I hope that your appointment on Thursday goes well! I'm sorry that m/s has been terrible for you.
sewfie2 - I hope that your appointment went well today!
@ketchup - GL with your u/s tomorrow! Yes, normal pooping would be great! For me, I've thought about taking Colace, but I know that it could switch to diarrhea (TMI, sorry) at any time.
@buttmonkey - GL with your appointment on Friday! I know that I'll have mixed feelings about leaving the awesome group of people of my RE's office, too, after working with them for so long.
ruthie and @buttmonkey, I had a dream like that on the day that I'm pretty sure that implantation occurred. At the time, I was freaked out that it may have disrupted implantation. Looking back on it, though, I'm wondering if maybe the extra activity going on in that area had actually caused the dream?
bluefairy5 - GL with tomorrow's appointment! I understand about feeling totally out of shape thanks to OHSS restrictions. It's ridiculous that I can feel my heart rate jump just by moving too quickly up the stairs.
luchich - I am so glad that you have an appointment soon with a better doctor.
ginnyjones82 - GL with your appointment on Wednesday! Sounds like it could be an exciting one!
kbrooke06 and crazycatlady4 - GL with your u/s on Friday! I'm at almost the same point (5w5d) but my u/s is next Tues. I can't wait, either!
ruthie - It drives me crazy when insurance gets in the way. They are not the doctors!
Happy birthday, Smootiepie! I hope that you have been feeling a bit better.
nomnom, that does sound like an odd contradiction in exercise restrictions.
Anyone else actually believing this is going to happen? Like, I keep catching myself thinking about...having to plan things...for when I have a baby. That seems weird to even type. But I'm starting to think this is happening, which is both wonderful and terrifying.
Absolutely! I think that it's freaking out DH more than me. I'm just fluctuating between disbelief and excitement.
@dyork, GL with your appointment on Thursday. I hope that you get some answers and relief from that pain.
@buttmonkey, that pillow looks amazing. I had not seen that, nor heard of the Snoogle until this thread, but now I'm pretty sure that I don't want to climb into bed without one! While dealing with the OHSS fun, I've been trying various pillow configurations to get something to work comfortably.

I actually just asked DH to pick up some chicken noodle soup at the store today! I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner. I did manage to stomach some rice tonight and so far ( knock on wood) I feel ok. I'm going to try the soup for my lunch at work tomorrow and see how it goes.
lilyharper, on one hand it's like I'm waiting for bad news, and then on the other I'm sure that everything will be fine. I'm all over the place. I just want this to be it for me and MH so bad. It's hard to totally give in and let ourselves be happy. I'm starting to get attached to these little guys and that scares me. IF brain sucks so bad!
I had a great few days of very mild nausea, but m/s is back in full force. I do have to say that if you eat cake just prior to puking... not the worst. Dizziness is back. I just hate how unproductive I've become at home... I want to be nesting.
What and when is your next appointment?
Intake appointment with the OB on the 18th. Yay!
Anything else you'd like to share or discuss?
I'm thrilled about all the familiar faces around here
QOTW: How do you plan to care for your baby/babies after he/she/they is/are born (i.e. nanny, daycare, stay at home, etc.)?
Daycare and I'm not 100% thrilled. I would love to stay home during the first year to 18 months and then transition to part day preschool, but I only have 12 weeks of leave (unpaid per FMLA). My employer is flexible so I'm hoping to drop down to 32 hours a week and work four days a week or do two half days. I have a few friends that use nannies... I've heard the good and bad. Among other things, I prefer a structured curriculum to prep our kiddo for the classroom. I work in education research and there's been a lot of exciting data coming out about pre-k care and student success through high school.
nomnom Please update my status to x1 @buttmonkey You are not alone! ruthie My insurance specifically lists Diclegis on their excluded meds list. After a manufacturer's coupon, it was going to be $100 for 12 pills. But Cialis and Viagra are a-ok!? The RE said to make my own by taking Unisom (the Doxycycline only formula) and B6.
Edited to add: 12 weeks of leave = FMLA/Unpaid aside from the minimal sick time I have.
Can I just take a hot sec to say that parental leave is a travesty in this country? I don't mean to start a political debate or anything, but it just... it makes me angry. Grr.
I feel like I'm late to the party! How far along are you now? 10w 2d
How are you feeling? Just when I think my MS is going away, it comes back with a vengeance and makes up for all the days I didn't heave every meal into the toilet.
What and when is your next appointment? Thursday, we get to hear the heartbeats!!!
Anything else you'd like to share or discuss? Just excited to meet with my new OB, hopefully has a better nursing staff than my last. This office seems like they are more familiar with IF procedures vs my other office that I had to educate.
QOTW: How do you plan to care for your baby/babies after he/she/they is/are born (i.e. nanny, datcare, stay at home, etc.)? My goal is to be a SAHM if possible and work per diem when possible. I dont think I could do daycare and I don't have the option for family to watch them. I Don't think I will want them out of my sight until they are at least 25. Lol
I have been doing quite well and promised myself that I would never complain. But yesterday I admitted to my husband that being pregnant sucks so far. Seriously, we spent thousands of dollars and months and months of treatments and am very excited to be at this stage, but I was not expecting this. M/s is not too bad. I have not vomited yet but I have all kinds of aversions and do not like to eat much most of the time. Constipation is the worst. I am very bloated and it hurts. PIO injections are killing me and lovenox injections make my tummy bruised all the time. My boobs hurt ton. And worst, I am having this terrible sciatic pain for the past few days. I feel paralyzed several times a day. Has anyone experienced those? I hope it goes away. I do not think I can handle those pains for the rest of the pregnancy. Please somebody tell me that it will get better.
What and when is your next appointment?
Had my last RE appointment last Wednesday and will see my new OB this Wednesday. Hope the little one is doing well.
Anything else you'd like to share or discuss?
This sciatic pain! Anybody who is experiencing it? Have you checked with your OB? Is it normal? Will it go away?
QOTW: How do you plan to care for your baby/babies after he/she/they is/are born (i.e. nanny, daycare, stay at home, etc.)? I am in academia and the good thing is my department takes you off teaching for one semester (full pay) and the father gets the same deal the following semester. So, the goal is have my mom around for October/November (I am due October 15) while I continue teaching with the help of my teaching assistants, then take the spring semester off, then my DH will take the Fall semester off and then the LO will be off to the daycare around month 14.
Ok, I'm a terrible person but I'm exhausted and not up for much tagging. @lucich I join the TP your RE brigade. While I understand why DR's may want to push selective reduction, it seems really insensitive, especially right as you digest the info. And then to basically shove you out the door? What crap.
@buttmonkey, damn your pillow looks amazing. What's it called? I ordered the snoogle mini (I'm 5'2) but that looks amazingly comfy. It's also the first (and only) pregnancy related item I have purchased. We have a king bed and 3 cats that sleep on it...hope DH will have somewhere to sleep.
aves0708, I've had spotting on and off this whole pregnancy. In fact, I was convinced this was going to be a bfn because I was bleeding leading up to beta. It's scary and sucks, they are so convinced it's endometrin pissing off my cervix because there's no sch or anything. Sorry you're still experiencing it.
So I'm still on endometrin 3x a day this week, then 1x a day next week...and no more...I almost can't believe that.
nomnom can I be added please? Due date is 10/28 and one little bean
How far are you now? I'm six weeks five days by transfer, but measuring six weeks.
How are you feeling? Not to bad. Morning sickness and sore boobs. Also some lower back pain here and there
What and when is your next appointment? Monday 3/16 for another ultrasound
Anything else you'd like to share or discuss Has anyone else measured behind first ultrasound? Did you catch up? Also does 100 bpm sound low? My RE wasn't sounding to hopeful and such with the measurements and heart rate.
How are you feeling? Tired (I napped on my desk for the first time ever yesterday) but other than that I can't complain.
What and when is your next appointment? u/s on 3/18! Can't wait!
Anything else you'd like to share or discuss? I'm tired of thinking up excuses for why I can't do stuff (ski, play ultimate frisbee, etc). I wish I could just tell people the truth!
Anyone else dealing with headaches and ear ringing?
Not as of yet, but ear ringing can be affected by blood flow/blood volume, so that makes sense, I'd say. Headaches, too. Hence why Excedrin works so well on headaches, because caffeine acts on vasoconstriction. (I'm lucky enough to have chronic tinnitus already in my 30's, so I've had the sad occasion to learn plenty about ear ringing, bleh. Thanks, genentics!)
Update from me: We saw and heard the h/b this morning It was at 121bpm, very solid for the 6th-7th week. The CRL put the gestational age at 6w1d (as opposed to going by ER/ET, which would've been 6w4d), but he didn't seem worried so I decided I'm not going to be either. My presumable grad appointment is a week from today, when hopefully we'll see things are continuing to progress, and be released to the OB. (And potentially stop PIO!)
Last night I had a bit of a scare. Awful cramping -- but it wasn't really uterine cramping, or at least not AF-like -- that felt as though someone had injected air into the front half of my pelvic floor and it was squeezing everything. No other way to describe it. It literally had me on the floor and I woke MH crying it was so bad. So obviously I was relieved to see things were a-okay today. (I've decided it was digestive-related. Whatever it was, it sucked.) I've been having light cramping the past 4-5 days, but not spotting or bleeding, so I wasn't concerned about that, but this was a whole other ball game. Really unpleasant.
ETA: I am 5'3". I shall tower over all of you bwa hahahahaaaa!
fluffydamn, Stormaggedon measured on target at our first u/s, then 10 days later was a day or two behind, and yesterday they were 2 days ahead. My RE said that +/- 7 days is within normal range. ETA: I'm thinking there's probably quite of bit of variation with each embryo at this stage.

Thanks for that info, makes me feel a bit better about things. I didn't think my RE was assuming he was going to find anything. And he was really quick about the ultrasound. (He seemed rushed like they overbooked him) I looked at the ultrasound and I'm like he didn't get all the way to the top of our little dude! It looks like he missed a little bit to me. Also doesn't help to google what everyone else's six week ultrasound looks like either. Oh IF brain, how I loathe you lol
@buttmonkey, hm, if snoogle doesn't work out, I will check that out. I think they would have let me reduce this week, but since I mentioned to my nurse this was as far as I'd been, she mentioned to RE who decided to be cautious. My progesterone is 31.5 on only endometrin. And I'd totally take it the whole time if I had to, but uh, I'd like to stop.
bluefairy5, yay for hb!!! my DH is over a foot taller than me, I'm used to being towered over. Not to mention even my shortest students tend to be at eye level. . I'm 5'2 1/2 to clarify...that damn 1/2 matters.
I think I had rlp again last night (I moved and it felt like something was ripping...yay pregnancy!) and it woke me up in pain. If it felt like that you may get more of the same. I've never had it before this pregnancy, but when it happens it feels like I got kicked.
Me: 33 DH: 34 Unexplained Infertility Off BCP Sept 2012. Referred to RE Oct 2013 Testing done Nov/Dec 2013 *IUI #1-#4 2/14-7/14 7/2014- DH and I decided to stop TTC and focus on us. 1/24/15- Surprise BFP!!!! Little E born 10/7/15!!
Has anyone else measured behind first ultrasound? Did you catch up? Also does 100 bpm sound low? My RE wasn't sounding to hopeful and such with the measurements and heart rate.
Just saw this after penning my quick update a little while ago. I ~just~ measured behind at first u/s, by about 3 days. I can tell you my RE was very not-worried about it, and it's even more encouraging to see sewfie2's comments.
dharmachick, I'm having those issues but I have a cold. Prior to the cold, I've had daily headaches which is uncommon for me.
@bluefairy yay for a great hb!!!
fluffydamn, one of our babes was a bit behind on u/s 1 but caught up today. So you shouldn't worry. My RE says its normal. It's weird yours would say that.
Update for me: our second u/s was today. Both babies are growing well with strong HBs around 140. They looked bigger too! My RE confirmed the 3rd sac was an identical split from baby A but never formed. There was nothing inside. So we're officially pregnant with twins! We also "graduated" today so we're moving onto an OB. I'm scared to be happy but I'm happy!!!

fluffydamn I was a few days behind at the first u/s and as a rpler I almost had a stroke. He told me not to worry and im 10 weeks now and measuring right on track.

Ugh. I'm sorry to hear about the chronic tinnitus. My father has it terribly, and I was hoping that it was not something genetic. Thanks for the info. I'm also sorry to hear about last night -- ouch! It's great that you had your appointment the next morning, to ease your mind. Congrats on seeing an hearing the hb! That is so exciting!
I spoke with the nurse this morning, who confirmed that the dizziness/nausea was definitely hormone related, but that the headache and ear ringing was less likely. Tylenol hasn't done much for the headache, which seems to be around my eyes, so it may be a sinus issue. She told me that I should try Claritin, Allegra, or Sudafed, and call back. I'm on the fence, as I would rather not be taking anything during these early weeks, but I'm thinking that relief from the headache may help the dizziness?
dharmachick are you on estradiol? That can cause dizziness.
I'm not on anything, actually, b/c my giant OHSS-inflated ovaries are producing a ridiculous amount of hormones. Last time they checked, my progesterone was 517. I figure that is a likely culprit of some of my symptoms.

Add me please!! As far as we know now there is only one baybay in there.
How far are you now? 5 weeks, 3 days How are you feeling? Really good. Sore boobs and occasional cramping is my only ailment so far. What and when is your next appointment? March 23rd (my birthday!) for my first ultrasound. Anything else you'd like to share or discuss? I still can't believe I'm KU. I believe this child is an answer to many years of prayers. Congrats to you all in the same boat as me!
