First appt with my brand-spanking new doc on Wednesday morning. I can't wait to update

Nothing to report yet but I have a follow up growth u/s this Wednesday. It will be nice to see how much bigger this little guy has gotten. He's so active. I'm excited to show H what he's been up to in there.

What was appointment for: biweekly check up.

How did it go? A little scary. They have me going to a nephrologist on the 28th, and are sending me to a MFM after that.

Questions/concerns: I'm concerned about how my appointments will go the next few weeks, especially with the way things have gone at my last two appointments. I'm just trying to take it a day at a time, and not overthink it for now.

What was your appointment for? 24 week check up, nothin special

How did it go? Great! Heartbeat was music to my ears, measuring fine, and blood pressure is still stellar (for some unknown reason I stress about this even though it's always been low). Also had a good talk w my doc about pizza and wine

What was your appointment for: Monthly check up and to get my Anatomy Scan results.

How did it go: Everything looks great! We have one healthy, ACTIVE boy on our hands. I did gain 11 pounds since my appointment last month... haha The doctor didn't even mention it though so I am not sweating it.

Questions/Concerns: Nope.

I had my glucose test/OB check up on Friday, and found out yesterday that I passed the glucose test! Yay!

What was your appointment for?
F/U ultrasound. Met with pediatric cardiology and my MFM.

How did it go?
They remeasured and did a fetal echo. He behaved and we got text book pictures. We measured at 22 weeks and 3 days. He weighs about a pound. The tech had a student observer today so it was very informative. He was behaving so well that the student even got to practice a bit. We still have the ECF, but since that is the only thing odd, the cardiologist said not to loose sleep over it. I have a follow up scan in 4 weeks to check growth.

Had a GREAT appointment, this morning! I had to switch practices because the one I was initially with was very anti-VBAC, and wanted to cut me open again for absolutely no reason. I switched to the #1 VBAC doctor in Ohio, and he said there will be no issues with me trying for the birth I want…VBAC2!

In fact—he could not figure out why anyone would force me into a c-section when I had no major medical issues holding me back.

This is a huge deal for me, and I am beyond thrilled!


No pics, and no questions or comments. Just uber excited!

Pretty uneventful. Got blood drawn. That was about it.

I had a u/s today at mfm to check fluid levels and growth due to a large uterine fibroid. Happy to report everything looks good, fibroid seems to be moving away from my cervix as my uterus grows, so maybe I won't have to have a c section after all. The baby is 33% for growth, which dr said is fine. He also told me not to worry about laying on my back unless I feel light headed. Horray for being more comfortable in bed! Got some neat facial pics to take home too.


@sastahlman hope your nephrologist can put your mind at ease!

What was your appointment for? Growth ultrasound. My MFM called my baby "juicy" because she was on the bigger side of normal, haha. Everything looked great, though, and I get to go 3 weeks between appointments with the MFM this time, instead of 2.

How did it go? Great.

AW: Pics? Got some awesome face shots, but can't upload them, sorry.

Questions/Concerns? Nope, just trying to make my progesterone shots stop itching so darn much. I got a new set of huge needles to draw the medication out with (and then switch back to the smaller one for the injection), so hopefully that will help.

Well aside from the initial wait (45 minutes...smh) the appointment went well. I have my a/s scheduled for 2 weeks from today. Doc thinks I'm measuring quite large, so my due date might get bumped up. Other than that, everything was normal!

This practice seems much more in line with my style and isn't nearly a cold and clinical as the other place I was going. I think I'm going to like it

Keep your fingers crossed little one is showing great growth. We are monitoring for steady growth from here on out. I'm so anxious to see if he's getting bigger and growing like he should. I have no idea what the plan would be if he isn't. Our appointment isn't until this afternoon.
