When did you start getting symptoms?

I am 5 weeks 3 days and not one symptoms has appeared except for occasional cramping and sore breasts. I'm just wondering what everyone here has experienced as far as symptoms go (around this time particularly), and should I be worried that I feel like I could run a marathon instead of feeling pregnant? I felt tired first, then about 6 weeks the nausea started. I probably made it to almost 8 weeks without actually getting sick. More of a lack of appetite.

My nipples hurt post ovulation and haven't stopped haha. Didn't have much pain in breast though.

Some people are lucky and don't get any of the feeling like crap, but I say enjoy how you are feeling now, because it may end!

I personally felt symptoms right away. My PMS symptoms are nausea, fatigue, and cramps. So, it started on CD 26, and has not gone away yet. That DOES NOT mean anything to you though. Some women don't even know they are pregnant until much further on. As long as all looks well inside, be lucky you are feeling well!!

ETA: Yes, the nipple pain and overall breast tenderness.

I didn't really start in with the nausea until 6 weeks or so. Just try your best to enjoy this "symptom-free" time. It was much easier for me to feel pregnant once I started to feel horrible every day. Until that point, I just POAS every day.

It's really impossible to compare pregnancies. Symptoms or lack thereof do not dictate a healthy pregnancy. Check out the PAIF mantras and take a deep breathe:)

Everyone's experience is so different. If you asked me, I wouldn't think I was pregnant right now so much as really, really tired. I'll be 7wks Friday and so far I've had 2 instances of something that was maybe-nausea-but-not-really, and even though my progesterone is in the 300's (it's supposed to max out around 50 in first tri, thanks, OHSS!) my boobs wouldn't be able to tell you that because they aren't sore at all. Progesterone's supposed to be the sore-boob hormone, so go figure.

Do your best to put it out of your mind, remind yourself that today you are pregnant, and just momentarily (or hopefully longer!) lucky to not be acting like a pregnant lady in a movie. (Seriously, I think Collective We get like 3/4 of our perception of pregnancy from movies. Everyone pukes all the time! And can smell everything! And as soon as your first contraction hits your water breaks and you better run to the hospital because the baby is actually falling out of you right now! That is my impression of movie pregnancy.)

5w4d is when the nausea started for me. I had some boob pains before, but not much. Enjoy your symptom free lifestyle for as long as you can!

Also, I was never really tired in the first tri. I know that's a common symptom- but it wasnt one that I had! Like IFinTN said- everyone and every pregnancy is different!

Looking back, my breasts were crazy tender around week 6. I have a student that hugs me goodbye each day and I cringed because she hugged so tight it HURT! Nausea was around week 6 too....not fun! Valentine's day was awful for me, I knew I was pregnant at that point and all of that chocolate from my students piled up on my desk. Oh gosh, I thought I was going to lose my stomach! Fortunately, I had a big bag that I put it all into so that I could hide it and not see it. A few days later, I started feeling up to eating a piece here and there but I mostly was craving salty things to eat.

I have had nausea since 3 days before my BFP, it has gotten much worse over the past 2 weeks.

I do not have sore boobies though. They have felt fine, a bit bigger than 2 months ago but no soreness whatsoever.

At my first US at 6w3d my RE commented on how sickly I looked so it must have been around six weeks that it set in? But it's hard to say since I was on progesterone and that can mimic pregnancy symptoms.

I'm like ginnyjones82, with PMS I always got sore boobs, nausea, and fatigue. So I really thought this treatment didn't work. I was in for a surprise when I got my first beta results back. Of course everyone is different.

crazycatlady6 - I love this response because it just goes to show that you can have one symptom and not the other (I already knew this of course but it still makes me feel better!

@ketchup - yep yep and yep. I get tired of everyone (mom, dh, aunt, even my nurse) that I need to relax because I DON'T WANT TO. I waited too long for this to relax!! Lol it's strange that throwing up would actually make me feel better....

At 5 wks I didnt really feel anything except boob pain and the extreme need to nap constantly. It was the 6.5 or 7 wk mark that the nausea went in to full swing.

I didn't really feel anything until closer to 8weeks, and even then it was only loss of appetite in the evenings. Looking back on it now I did get tired a little earlier than normal, but no other glaring signs. Without looking at my growing belly I've felt pretty normal this whole pregnancy which I am just chalking up to being one of the really lucky ones. Hopefully you are too, even though I know the feeling of wanting symptoms to calm IF brain.

Mine started around 5.5 weeks--nausea, extreme fatigue, sore boobs. I still have nausea and sore boobs at 11.5 weeks. Nausea might be enhanced by the stupid estradiol pills. Only a week and a half of those left! Also, no vomiting because I decided it is better to eat processed food or nothing than to try to eat healthy and have it all come back up. Had I forced myself to eat better I probably would have thrown up.

I was just really tired until about 6.5-7 weeks when I started to get morning sickness and sore boobs. MS didn't kick in full swing until a week or two later.

pinkdoggie, I started with bad nausea around 5 weeks. The fatigue started before my first beta. Don't know if that started earlier because it was twins or not. I never ended up vomiting, just horrible nausea until around 17 weeks. Also, I never got the sore boobs. I didn't with DD either. My sister never had sore boobs, no nausea or fatigue. She didn't believe she was pregnant until her 12 week u/s. Everyone is different. You may be one of the lucky ones!

I'm a little late to this thread but just wanted to reassure you...the only symptoms I have had this entire pg is fatigue, sore boobs, mild cramping, and crazy dreams. I never had any MS with this pregnancy or with my first...just showing you that not everyone gets really heavy symptoms. hth!

Ok guys I'm officially freaking out...the sore boobs completely disappeared! My nurse assured me it was ok but I'm still not 100% convinced :/

pinkdoggie My boobs were never what i'd consider sore. Temperature sensitive nipples were a different story!

I could go through the whole story of all my early symptoms but it wouldn't mean anything. The cramping you're feeling is a symptom! There may be other things that you don't even realize. One of my early aversions was peanut butter; I never would have known if I hadn't been given some peanut butter cookies. Sensitivity to smells, fatigue, taste changes, headaches, dizziness, and lower back pain are also easily missed early pregnancy symptoms.

pinkdoggie I also struggle with anxiety and this whole PAIF thing doesn't really make that a lot easier. It's one thing when it's something you can confront head-on, but when all you can do is wait and trust, that's hard. I've made myself a playlist of songs that put me in a relaxed or positive frame of mind (and that don't necessarily have anything to do with IF). YMMV, but I feel anxious a lot at night and in the morning, and I find it helps me then.

pinkdoggie, some level of anxiety in PAIF is to be expected. We've all been there. However, I will say that if you (or anyone reading here) are experiencing severe anxiety symptoms to the point where you can't enjoy any moment of being pregnant, then I would recommend you speak with your doctor.

Some find help with counseling and some actually need medication to get through it. There's no shame in getting some help. I only say this because I've seen a few PAIFers go down this road and every day they are literally paralyzed EVERY MOMENT with fear and anxiety or they sink into a deep depression (yes, you can get a version of PPD during pregnancy)...it does not have to be that way.

Now the occasional freak out--yeah, we all do that:) Just gauge your level of intensity and don't be afraid to seek help if needed.

pinkdoggie, I had sore boobs before my BFP which is why I was sure I was starting my period. Now, nothing. No nausea, not tired (at least not more than normal), no symptoms at all other than burping. That's a pretty easy thing to deal with tho. It could be they haven't hit me yet but my mom told me that she never felt bad with me (god I was an awesome kid ). So, I have stopped waiting for the symptoms to come and instead I am trying to keep them away by exercising. I think that thinking about the symptoms was making me feel too anxious at first.

now if only I would get the bigger boobs I was promised. I've been waiting for this symptom all my life.
