How many weeks pp are you? 7 weeks today
How'd you do last week? Where did you struggle or thrive? Postnatal yoga once - hot yoga once - one decent walk outside. Postnatal yoga was a fail - ds was not a fan. Hot yoga was great but I couldn't do everything, that will come. I loved getting outside for a walk. The weather has not been working with my need to get out.
Goals for this week? Met with my pilates instructor tonight - she gave me my "homework" for the next two weeks so I'll be ready the Spring session in 2 weeks. So I'll be doing that at home 3x/week. Hot yoga and I'm going to try to do interval training on the treadmill.
How does your body feel? I'm feeling pretty good.
GTKY: what's your favorite thing to cook? If you don't cook what's your favorite thing someone had cooked for you? I don't really enjoy cooking but I enjoy eating. One of my fav. things to eat (after I've cooked it) is butter chicken because dh thinks it's hard to make and he's always really appreciative. He doesn't need to know that it's actually pretty simple ; )

How many weeks pp are you? 13 wks pp
How'd you do last week? Where did you struggle or thrive? Last week I was bad in the food area. I had to buy lunch at work almost every day and made some bad (but yummy) choices. I blame pms. I improved on drinking more water and eating healthier breakfast and dinners.
Goals for this week? Taking my healthier lunches to work. And incorp some fruits.
How does your body feel? PP wise fine. I pulled a neck muscle last week that effed up my back.
GTKY: what's your favorite thing to cook? If you don't cook what's your favorite thing someone had cooked for you? Eggs and potatos! I eat them for any meal of the day.

BabyStandish thanks for this check in. I hope to use it for motivation. Not only keeping me accountable but love to read everyones accoplishments. And I wish I could make pancakes, it was my #1 pregnancy craving. But had to be homemade.

How many weeks pp are you? Two months (8w3d) How'd you do last week? Decent. My barre class was cancelled but I pushed myself at derby. Also, DH started his diet/clean eating on Saturday so my meal planning has been healthier for the past few days Where did you struggle or thrive? Struggle - I still get powerful cravings - chocolate and fried stuff. Will power!! Thriving - just happy I've broken through the plateau. Sadly I need to see a reflection on the scale to keep up my motivation
Goals for this week? I added a yoga class yesterday so that should make three solid workouts this week if I stick to my plan
How does your body feel? Meh. I still have a lot of fat in my torso and thighs that used to not be there. My muscle tone is seriously lacking. I know I have a ways to go, so I'm focusing now on the smaller things - like being able to put my rings back on again (hooray!)
GTKY: what's your favorite thing to cook? Anything labour intensive. I love a recipe with a super long list of specialty ingredients, lots of chopping and dicing - it makes me have a lot of pride in the final product

How many weeks pp are you? 8 weeks tomorrow!
How'd you do last week? Where did you struggle or thrive? Been doing better about making healthier choices with my food, but I have got to get back in the habit of exercising! Not really how I want to spend my free time, but I know it will make me feel better about myself.
Goals for this week? Exercise!
How does your body feel? Pretty good. I have some aches and pains in my joints and back; again I think exercise would help.
GTKY: what's your favorite thing to cook? If you don't cook what's your favorite thing someone had cooked for you? I am really into crockpot meals right now. LO naps in the morning but not really the afternoon/evening, so I can prep everything while he's asleep and we can have a home cooked supper!
How'd you do last week? Where did you struggle or thrive? I did pretty good. Did the BBM videos 6 days a week. Struggled with walking enough.
Goals for this week? Keep up with the BBM videos and average 8K steps a day.
How does your body feel? Ehh. I am not totally healed (going back to OB tomorrow to check, but I still have some pain). When I am more active, things hurt more.
GTKY: what's your favorite thing to cook? If you don't cook what's your favorite thing someone had cooked for you? I love to cook in general. Pretty much everything, that is if it is not meat (I'm a vegetarian). I hate chopping vegetables though, that is my least favorite activity. This week I made a veggie chili/corn bread and a Mexican rice casserole so far.
How'd you do last week? Where did you struggle or thrive? FI and I started working out together at the apartment complex gym this week. Unfortunately, my body is doing some weird thing where my joints are swelling up and I've literally put on 10 lbs since Sunday. For real. Apparently this is a totally normal phenomenon but it's so disheartening. I've already been struggling with the anxiety of not being able to fit into my uniforms and going back to full duty tomorrow, but then add on this bloat factor plus all my stretchmarks that were healing turned purple again because of the water weight I've put on in just 3 days. I was close to tears last night.
Goals for this week? Telling FI in a nice way that I will be doing work outs my own way, but still want to go to the gym together. I am also going to start the ever so popular Couch to 5K program.
How does your body feel? Like hell. The joint swelling and water weight is f***ing painful. Other than that I feel amazing!
GTKY: what's your favorite thing to cook? If you don't cook what's your favorite thing someone had cooked for you? I LOVE to bake. I tend to make a lot of desserts like cookies and cupcakes. But when it comes to cooking I'd have to say my favorite thing to make is a tie between chili and homemade pot pie.

pleirey, ouch that sounds painful. hope it goes away soon!
I need a couch to my elliptical program I'm toying with the idea of working out in the mornings before work. That would be at 5 am my friend. I'd probably end up going to bed at 8 pm to make that happen.
littlelion - It is painful, but tolerable. I guess that makes it more the definition of uncomfortable than painful. haha! If you do start getting up at 5am you probably will get tired by 7 or 8, but your body will adjust if you make it. I have to get up around 4:15am to feed the baby, eat breakfast, drink my coffee, pack lunches and get ready for work. At first I was falling asleep by 7pm, but now I can stay up until 9:30-10pm and feel just fine. :-) It still sucks when that alarm goes off though...
@littelion I went to bed at 8:30/9p to get up at 4:30a so I could leave at 5am for work (I go in at 6am). It sucks, but if you can sleep most of that time, it should work out okay once you get accustomed to it.
Actually, that might explain why LO wants to get up at 4/5a every day to start his day... *sigh*
How many weeks pp are you? 7w2d
How'd you do last week? Where did you struggle or thrive? Baaah... yeah, I walked the mall with little one, does that count? I wanted my OB to clear me, which he did on Thursday. I did JM yoga yesterday and today, though, along with a walk outside with LO yesterday!
Goals for this week? see if I can do the dvd another two times and take baby for a walk a few more times this week
How does your body feel? Not too bad at the moment considering how I felt while pregnant, but I'm still having back problems. I should probably look into a deep tissue massage and seeing a chiro for a postpartum alignment
GTKY: what's your favorite thing to cook? If you don't cook what's your favorite thing someone had cooked for you? I don't cook, but I do bake a pretty good german chocolate cake!
How'd you do last week? Not great. I did make it to my first pp yoga class. Planned on walking/running on the treadmill but it stopped working. Planned on swimming but got lazy. :/
Goals for this week? Start running now that the weather is warmer. I'm making it a goal to not let 3 days go by without a workout. I like the flexibility of that plan and that it keeps me accountable. I want to walk with lo every day that the weather cooperates.
How does your body feel? Pretty good. I was surprised how much muscle I lost. I struggled at yoga class with things that used to be easy.
GTKY: what's your favorite thing to cook? If you don't cook what's your favorite thing someone had cooked for you? I love to make pasties. They're time consuming to make, but pretty easy. It's a family recipe that my grandma taught my mom, and my mom taught me. Reminds me of Sunday dinners at my grandparents house. Plus, they make delicious leftovers and freezer meals (I freeze them unbaked.)

How many weeks pp are you? Will be 8 weeks tomorrow
How'd you do last week? Pretty terrible. Excuse time: I went back to work last Monday and it was a crazy busy week trying to dig myself out of the pile of files left on my desk. I went on a 3 mile walk on Saturday with LO but that was it. I did manage to eat pretty healthy though.
Goals for this week? No more excuses. Go running this weekend, get on the bike (I have a thing that can turn my road bike into a stationary bike). I'd like to get in three cardio workouts and try some crunches and push-ups.
How does your body feel? Soft and flabby. I've dropped almost 5 pounds since going back to work but it doesn't feel like an accomplishment because there's no muscle gained.
GTKY: what's your favorite thing to cook? Tomato basil soup and grilled cheese sandwiches. I use fat free half and half and fake butter in the soup and fat free cheese on the sandwiches so it's quasi-healthy, and the next day we use the leftover soup over grilled chicken and pasta like a sauce.

How many weeks pp are you? 10 weeks How'd you do last week? Where did you struggle or thrive? Failing miserably. I started P90X3 three weeks ago? And did it for like a week and a half then stopped. I'm just really struggling with motivation especially after going back to work (12hr shifts) Goals for this week? Do something (walk, run, video) at least 3x How does your body feel? Squishy. I lost all my upper body and core strength. Really want to gain that back. I also am struggling with the inside of my thighs being very sensitive, like they're strained. I have to be very careful of any shifting activities (lunges, jumping/agility). GTKY: what's your favorite thing to cook? If you don't cook what's your favorite thing someone had cooked for you? I love chicken pot pie but it's so labor intensive.

Hi ladies! I have been MIA for a month or so. I was "fitmomjess" on the bump if anyone remembers me or not. I just set up my account today since I'm back at work now and have more "free time" to be online. :-)
How many weeks pp are you? 8 weeks as of yesterday
How'd you do last week? Where did you struggle or thrive? I have very diligently been tracking my food on MFP so that has helped a lot. I am focusing on accountability right now. I have started doing a fitness program and cardio too. It's been hard to get them in during the week since I'm still breastfeeding and adjusting to work.
Goals for this week? Stay within my nutrition goals - take some walks
How does your body feel? I fractured my coccix during birth so I'm still sore and my hips hurt when I stand up from sitting. :-(
GTKY: what's your favorite thing to cook? If you don't cook what's your favorite thing someone had cooked for you? Grilled chicken, extra lean ground beef, roasted sweet potatoes

How many weeks pp are you? 6 weeks, 1 day
How'd you do last week? Where did you struggle or thrive? I struggle with not eating every meal. I struggled with this before I was pregnant as well. I will skip breakfast and only have coffee, and sometimes not eat lunch till 2 or 3. Now that I'm in school at night I'll sometimes not have dinner and just opt for chips or an easy snack.
Goals for this week? I'm officially cleared to start training again so my runs will be full strength this week
How does your body feel? I feel great, just tired
GTKY: what's your favorite thing to cook? If you don't cook what's your favorite thing someone had cooked for you? I love turnip fries! Its a recipe from when my step mom was doing atkins

How many weeks pp are you? 6 weeks as of today
How'd you do last week? Where did you struggle or thrive? I did okay, I guess. I messed up my knees by doing too much too fast, so I was off the treadmill for a bit, but I got in a few vaguely decent Wii Fit sessions. Insomnia wrecked two of my days (but I cleaned when I couldn't sleep, so maybe that counts). I'm snacking less and more healthily, but I'm probably starting to restrict calories too much.
Goals for this week? Treadmill at least 3x for C25k (but not overdoing it), moving my butt more on non-treadmill days, keeping my eating under control in both directions. If possible, acquire and start using some hand weights.
How does your body feel? Floppy, flabby, and sore. Still tender down under (and not quite healed in one spot).
GTKY: what's your favorite thing to cook? If you don't cook what's your favorite thing someone had cooked for you? I like to bake. Cakes are fun even if they do sometimes collapse.
