We know we're having a girl, but have NO IDEA what to name her! We've thrown around Elizabeth, Phoebe, Julia, and Jacqueline. Will happily hear other ideas! (We have a monosyllabic last name, so I'm trying to stay away from monosyllabic first names.)
I adore Phoebe. Like a lot. I'd use it if I could!
I have a long list of girl names I absolutely love, so, of course, we are having a boy. I'm ridiculously picky about names, and I have a long list of NOs thanks to being a teacher, so this is really tough for me.
H really likes the name Christian. I am wondering if everyone will think we named him after 50 Shades of Grey. H also likes the name Ryan a lot.
I like Nick, but it doesn't sound good with our last name.
Also like Alex, Zachary, Spencer, and Nathan. H also likes Vincent and Shane.
Middle name will probably be Matthew, which is my brother's name. We both like family names for middle names.

Care to share your girl name list? All the lists I see online are the same old thing.

Husband has no interest in picking out names until we find out what we are having on a TBD date. If I was the only one picking out names, girl would be Eleanor Renee and boy would be Elias Allen.
Something that is very important to me is the potential nicknames of said baby names. My sons name is Cohen and he gets called CoCo all the time and that drives me NUTS. I find that to be an appalling nickname for a little boy. LOL

Well, I doubt mine are anything new.
My #1 girl name was Sasha.
I also liked Whitney, Sabrina, Chelsea, Arden, and Elodie.

Sabrina is one of my favorites, but DH hates it. I liked it way back when I was a little kid before the show Sabrina the teenage witch. I names some of my dolls and barbies Sabrina. DH just thinks of the show.
Probably about 10 years ago when H and I were still dating we came up with a boy name - Lucas. We actually still like that name and surprisingly no friends or family have named their kid that yet.
We are completely stumped for girl's names. H doesn't want anything that's too girly. I don't have any girl names that I love, but I have been drawn to Alice lately. I'm not sure if that's too girly or not.
At least we have lots of time until the end of July and finding out the sex will help the decision making process a lot.

My favourite girl name (since I was 12 years old) was Alexandra, but now that I'm pregnant it doesn't appeal as much to me! I also used to love the name Aiden (which I knew from a cartoon when I was younger) but that flew off my list in a hurry when everyone was naming their boys that! At the moment I'm leaning toward Ella for a girl. The issue is I need to use Lee as a middle name for my first daughter (my middle name, my mom's middle name & my grandmother's maiden name). I don't think it sounds very good with Ella, unfortunately. I'm up in the air for boy names. I like Rhys, Connor, Elliot, and Julian. Maybe I'll ask this while I'm at it: is it weird to put two middle names on a boy? I've heard of it on girls sometimes, but not really on boys. I thought about using Malcolm Lorne as middle names for a boy (after my father who died in 2008, and my grandfather who died in 2010). Would it be too strange?

chelsemotion Nothing weird about two middle names on a boy.
Also note, I think Ella is becoming just as popular (if not more) than Aiden. Everyone is using Ella, Elle, Ellie as standalone names or nicknames for basically every name ever invented.
we aren't 100% yet... probably Owen Michael or Owen Robert for a boy (named after my late father). We also like Riley, but I think we might scratch that off the list.
for a girl, probably Hailey or Avery... not sure yet on middle names.
I have no flipping clue on names. With DS we were set with a boys name before we even found out what he was. DS is Daniel Lee
Possible girls Lorelei Esme Fiona Everly Wren Ember
Possible boys Rhys Ian Owen Sawyer
DH picked our sons name, so I technically get to choose this one. He has veto power for anything he absolutely hates though. He already crushed Adelaide, although I love it and I'm going to make it grow on him

Oh, crap! Last I saw it was #20ish, thought I could deal with it. I'm not really the type for super-duper unique names, or ones where they're guaranteed to have 5 others in their class. I think I'll have to have a top 2-3, and decide around the time the baby is born (if this is even a girl, we don't know yet). Thanks for the feedback though, I'm still working on my list, anyway.
I've never done this with my other two but I'm almost to the point of just waiting to see what we're having and then choosing. Maybe I can handle only picking one name a little better than trying to decide two.
I'm with you, caymarks. The main reason why the BF and I are leaning away from Team Green these days is to help narrow our name choices. We have some girl name options, but we're really at a loss for boys. If it's a girl, we can relax and if it's a boy, we can get down to business.

chelsemotion I don't think the two middle names is a boy vs girl issue... But I think in general two middle names are complicated and not something I would do.
We know we are having a girl and agreed on a name right away. We wanted a name that was a legit name in both in English and Indonesian (DH's heritage). Her name will be Alia.
Other girl names I liked, if not picking an Indo name, were: Ella (but a bit too popular) Etta (like Etta James) Esme
Boy name will likely be Michael for H's dad who passed away very suddenly a couple years ago. Also, Michael is my dad and brother's middle name.
For a girl, I suggested Riley/Rylee and H really likes it, but we are both divided on the spelling. I also worry that the name wont mature well.
We both like Vera but our last name ends with the same "a" sound so I think it would be too rhymey. I also like Bailey, Harper, and Avery.
I would like to do Thai names for middle names but H just wants to pick "normal" middle names, so it'll probably be Ann for girl, not sure what for boy. H is Thai/Puerto Rican so I think it's important to keep a part of that culture.
Both DH and his sister are named after lakes in a national park that has huge family significance on his side. We're continuing the tradition with lake names, though they're not both in the park. I'm super protective of them because both names mean so much to us but since I love you guys:
Boy - Bowman Stewart, after the lake where DH's grandpa was Ranger for 30+ years. Nickname Bo.
Girl - Seeley Diane, after the lake we got married on
