DH wants Alexandra....nn Alex. I'm not feeling it. I like Lauren or Emily.
Boy's name is John. Plain and simple.
My name is Alexandra! I used to hate it growing up, because i thought it was too long and people CONSTANTLY mispronounce it and spell it wrong. When I started in surgery, one of our docs is greek, and he heard me complain about my name. He said "Oh no, Alexandra is a beautiful strong greek name!! I won't call you anything else!"
DX: Unexplained, possible Endo. October 2014: Letrozole + Trigger + IUI = BFP!!! Beta #1: 32 Beta #2: 77. Little Miss E born July 9th, 2015 Previously DarcyHermione
Ummm... No idea! We probably won't really talk about it until we know the sex. We have talked about liking 慧 (hui) as a character in a girl's name. It means 'bright'.
Here are my own current top names: Cordelia Iris Guinevere Penelope Aurelia
Nothing is written in stone but I think we are close. Our DD is Sophia Lynn (nn Sophie) which I absolutely love.
If we have another girl we are almost set on Anna Christine.
If we have a boy we are pretty set on David James but recently what started out playfully was the consideration of the name Sergio. DH is half Hispanic but has no ties to that heritage or family - we just like the name. I love the idea of a little Serge running around. But I am just not sure I can do that - I don't want him to hate it, get picked on for it or have a harder time as an adult. So we'll see.

And he doesn't.
Do you go by a nickname?
Yep, i usually go by allie. for my "important" things, school work, job applications, etc, I prefer to be called Alexandra.
We already have two little girls Zoe Grace and Brynn Isabella. We have had the boy name picked out since DD1 and I am keeping my fingers crossed we finally get to use it!
Okay, I have a long list of girl names. I like more old fashioned names, but here we go: -Elisabeth (after my great grandmother) nicknamed Elsie - Evelyn - Elinor - Geneveive - Lillian - Adelaide
We're going Evelyn if this one is a girl. I'm extremely settled with the name, and the one we've chosen for a boy, it's almost calming.

I know a Hui, but I didn't know what her name meant. She is a lovely girl, very smart and friendly and enthusiastic. The meaning fits her perfectly. This made me smile; it's a lovely name.
Evelina for a girl (Evelyn is the English version) boys: Linas, Tadas, Mantas, Lukas Since DH and I are both Lithuanian, we want Lithuanian names that are easy to pronounce here, and unfortunately, there aren't too many choices.

Love Evelyn or Caroline for a girl, but H dislikes both. Benjamin is my favorite for a boy. It was my late grandfather's name and I haven't brought it up to H yet because I'll fight for it, and there's no sense expending energy on that until we know what we're having. His grandfather and dad want the baby named after them, but sorry, bros, you're already getting the last name.
Right now, Ethan Eric for a boy or Rosemary Grace for a girl.
Although I'm more partial to Lilly Grace or Seneca Grace (is Seneca a name...maybe not that one.) Tyler, Nathan, and Patrick James are also possibilities for a boy. We fell in love with the original names years ago, but now I'm not so sure

Our girl name we picked out was Jocelyn Adrianne but our bean is a boy so we are 99% sure we are naming him Ja.gger Ma.tthew. Without the .'s of course.

You should leave the . it will make him super unique!
Nothing is more obnoxious to me than Youneek names LOL I put in the periods because my bonus son's crazy baby mama is going to come looking for me and as soon as she hears her son is getting a brother named Ja.gger, she'll be searching high and low. Tara, if, I mean WHEN you're reading this, you're a psychotic cunt. ETA: missed you @justinslovo!

Unless something drastic changes between now and birth... Eleanor called Nora for a girl, Robert for a boy. SO is the 5th Robert in his line, though they all have different middle names. I have no idea what we'll do for middle names.
For a girl, we love Zuzu Rae. We fell in love with Zuzu a few years ago as it's the little girl's name (or nickname) from It's a Wonderful Life. Two weeks ago we revisited and tried to think whether there was some other more "real" name we liked that would allow us to just use Zuzu as a nickname. After a lot of debate, we decided we couldn't think of anything else we like better (or at all) that fits the bill. Plus, there are so many strange names out there now that we don't think it matters too much. Of course, if anyone has suggestions that we haven't thought of, I'd be interested in hearing them.
For a boy, we are naming after my husband since he is the "II" already. I feel like anyone who marries a "II" is almost stuck going with the "III". We plan to call a boy "Tripp" though as a cute "III" nickname so I don't run around confusing people with the same name all day.
We're not telling our family and friends the names though until baby arrives though so we don't have to deal with unwanted input.
My mom is Suzanne, and I considered Susanna(h) called Zuzu for this baby, but it just didn't feel like "my baby", ya know?
I have been hearing my one and only loved name EVERYWHERE today! At first I was excited because I really love it, but it just now dawned on me it may be a popular name, which I'm not hugely opposed to but regardless, I looked it up.
Emily is #7... as in only 6 other names were more common. What the actual FUCK.

I dont even know how to feel.
I think if you love it, the popularity won't matter. To be fair, being at #7 isn't what it was when we were growing up. There were 13k Emilys born in the US in 2013. In 1983, for example, 22k baby girls were named the #7 name (Nicole). That's more than the #1 name of 2013 (Sophia). I named DD something pretty popular and someone told me that "the child makes the name special, not the other way around." I think that's good advice.
There are no Emilys in my DD's preschool class from this year or last year, and none in her dance class. But, there are two Carolines, which is all the way down at #63. Weird how that works out.
Hehe, my niece told me to name our baby Butterscotch and my friends little guy said Olaf!
For now, DH and I have:
Boy: Owen Daniel Girl: Adalynn/Adalyn (?) Rose
Now writing the girl name I don't know if it looks weird or not. We also like Skylar for a girl. We are stuck on Owen though, its the only one we can agree on!
We don't know the sex yet but for a boy the front runner is Logan David. I've also been toying with Dylan (after bob Dylan) or Morrison (after Jim Morrison and van Morrison haha). For a girl I've been loving Athena for awhile now, no idea on a middle name. I also like Althea (Thea for a nickname) I want to keep the girls name Greek or Italian but haven't seen many good ones that don't remind me of someone else. DH and I also like Cecelia(after the Simon and Garfunkel song). I'm a big fan of the classic rock names if you can't tell lol! If I had it my way and we had a boy his name would be Zeppelin, but DH nixed that real quick!
