Good morning!
Had a scary night last night, I've had mensteral like cramps for the past two days. Last night around dinner time I started to get back pain, went to pee and saw bright pink spotting. Cue freaking the fuck out. Went into L&D. They found both babies heartbeats (thank G-d), did a cervical check where a nurse went elbow deep and OMG- it hurt, and monitored for contractions. My cervix was high, hard and closed and I didn't have any contractions.
No good reason for bleeding as far as they could tell. They gave me fluids even though I wasn't dehydrated and the itchy shot to relax smooth muscle. The on call doctor from my practice came in. She was great. I'm going in this afternoon for an ultrasound to measure cervix exactly and look for cause of blood. The nurse told me to get used to coming in because they see twin mamas a lot for this type of thing. Scary.
