I can't sleep.. per usual. LO is knocked out and every hour that passes i tell myself i'll go to bed soon.

MH was pretty set on only celebrating our wedding anniversary (sept) and all of a sudden he says we're going out for our dating anniversary today.... is it because you're on my shit list? IDONTTHINKSO. I'm also having a colposcopy this week for some cervical dysplasia. Pretty scared since my paps are usually normal. Anyone have experience with these?

I've had a colposcopy before, about 3 years ago. I cried, but not because it hurt really, I was just emotional about the whole thing. It didn't feel great, but it was over really fast. They put this really disgusting stuff on your cervix after. Kinda like a liquid band aid for your cervix. Anyway, mine came out in one big disgusting chunk like a week (I think?) later. It was one of those hideous and gross, but also fascinating, things...

It's not that bad, just don't psych yourself out like I did.

Yup totally feel mentally stressed about it. I also feel like there are so many lingering questions that I wish I could meet with my OB before. The nurse says I will have time to ask him before the procedure but I know I'll forget. I mean, what are the possibilities? I feel like she's a wall for my doctor but I'm scared you know. Thank you for sharing your experience

I've had two colposcopies with biopsies. Both time the results were fine, and abnormalities cleared up on their own. I did find the biopsies to be mildly painful, but taking ibuprofen before the second one helped. I definitely stressed before each one, but it was unnecessary. Good luck!

I have very strong "exit only" feelings about my asshole, and I am not looking forward to the day when I have to get a colonoscopy. I hope it goes smoothly (literally and figuratively) for those of you who have to get one soon.

DH and I are considering buying a house in June. We are in a 1 bdrm apt and I was looking at 2 bedroom apts and they are stupid expensive. We will only have enough for 5% down so hopefully we can find something. I'm ready to be done with apts.

I'm paying, IMO, way too much for our small 2 bedroom apartment, an hour away from the nearest city (Boston). The last two bedroom I lived in, which was right outside of that state's capital, I paid almost half of what I am now and had bigger bedrooms with a full walk in closet! *sigh*

I have today off! Yay! Just sitting at home with the two kids. They both let me sleep in until 9am, which is 5hrs later than when I get up for work. I feel stupendous!!

Yeah, all the 2 bedroom apts we like are 2x the amt we'd pay on a mortage. The ones we could afford and actually save money on are either not in very good neighborhoods or have horrible reviews online. I'd like to feel safe running outside and not worry about roaches all at the same time. Lol.

Not sure if you meant to do it, but we're talking colposcopy...looking at the cervix. I hope I don't have to have a colonoscopy for a very long time. That sounds awful.

pczmtru I've had a couple of colposcopies, and the emotions and anxiety about it were worse than the actual procedure. They burned a little and I had some cramping afterward, but they were pretty uneventful otherwise.

My random for the day... LO slept 7.5 hours! I got almost 7 hours of sleep myself, and I feel great this morning!

Longest stretch of sleep yet - 9 hours! I woke up before she did because my boobs hurt, but I let her keep sleeping.
LO has been super fussy and gassy for the last couple days. She also has gone a couple days without pooping. I just heard "the rumblings". Hopefully (once I clean her up) she'll be happier!

Omg I hate the way disposable diapers smell. I'm so glad we went to cloth. Little guy is growing so I'm going to try to use the last of our disposables (we only have a few left from gifts) by putting one on a day until they are gone. They smell so wretched when he has a poop.

My random - I have straight meetings today and then leaving around 2 for DS2's doctor appointment. Yay for a short Friday!

Also someone tried to recruit me for their pyramid scheme sales team, and when they asked if I'd want a job where I could stay home with my boys, I was like, "No, that's not really for me. I thought I was going to lose my mind when I was home on maternity leave." Hopefully I didn't offend her.

That is the whole reason dh and I ended up buying a house right before our wedding. After doing some apartment hunting we realized that we could get a mortgage for less than what we'd pay to rent a tiny 2 bedroom apartment.

I've been EPing since LO was born because he wouldn't latch and the lc in the hospital was absolutely no help. Well yesterday he finally latched but then wouldn't the rest the day. Try again this morning and he latched again. For those of you ebf, I give so many props! It's totally frustrated but so rewarding!

Worked on painting a bean bag toss for ds 1 3rd birthday in two months. Dh had to take over because the baby needed to be nursed and he made it look amazing... It's got 4 sesame street characters on it and I made bean bag cookies to toss at it.

I took LO grocery shopping with me today and it was a little trickier than I anticipated. I put her car seat in the cart and wheeled over to Starbucks. Then after I had my coffee and pumpkin bread I realized I had nowhere to set them since her seat was blocking the little fold out top shelf. So I just layed the bread on her napping lap and carried my coffee. Then all of my food had to be tucked around the seat since the under side of the cart had a steep slope. Ideally my steak and apples wouldn't be laying together, so hopefully a nice tap water bath cleans those apples right up lol. And then trying to navigate the skinny wine aisles with my big cart...I normally would just abandon it but not really an option! Finally leaving her in the apartment while I ran downstairs for bags just felt wrong. But now I know! Leave her with dad next time

Oh and I tried to be cheap and buy an $8 bottle of wine, accidentally bought an $18 one so I better like it.

I always wear LO when I shop. I do all of our shopping during the day when DH is at work and that is what I have found is easiest. My cart is empty, my hands are empty, and he is happy!
