I'm paranoid that if I don't get a reciept with my gas I'll wind up with a bad batch of gas and have to have an expensive repair done with no proof of who the bad gas came from. I always pay with my credit card (points, yo) so the reality is there is a paper trail back to the source. Over the past few months I've been declining the reciept but every time I hit the no button I get a little moment of panic. So dumb.
Also have a fear that if I go to a prenatal appointment alone that will be the day I get bad news. Luckily most of my appointments have been on Saturday's so it's no inconvenience to my husband. He doesn't even go in with me because they're so quick, I just like knowing he's close by if things aren't ok. One day I had to have an emergency ultrasound because they couldn't find the heartbeat on the doppler. Having him with me was my saving grace.
Lastly, I feel like if I don't put my right sock and shoe on first it's bad luck. No reason. So dumb.
Kristykristyleelee I've actually heard Friday the 13th is considered lucky but I think the majority of our culture thinks it's unlucky from those scary movies.
I was never superstitious until I became a nurse. Now if anyone says they're having an easy night or I'm getting report and I'm told the patient is an easy one to have or anyone even says the word quiet, I have to knock on wood. I never used to be like this.
I started buying baby stuff after DH and I got married (three years before TTC), partially because I was dead set on the Lion King nursery and didn't want it to get discontinued.
I constantly get "in trouble" at work for saying things that require my co-workers to knock on wood.
Nerd alert: We play D&D some weekends, and one member of our group really believes in dice voodoo (if you're rolling bad on a die, you'll continue to roll bad). He's constantly telling me to switch dice after a few bad rolls. No thanks, I like my dice. They're a pretty color.

Not really superstitious, but I am guilty of knocking on wood, "pu pu pu," and when there's no wood available, I'll knock on my head.
Other than that, I think black cats are GOOD luck, because I love all cats. And, we just bought an apartment on the 13th floor, so I'm considering it good luck.
