Hi there
I have been lurking on this board for a month now. But I didn't want to intro until I had my 2nd ultrasound. I'm 10w1d today
A (somewhat) short version of our journey:
Started trying in Sept 2011, got KU Jan 2012 but sadly had a m/c. Kept trying but nothing was happening, so off to the RE we go in Oct 2013. Main diagnosis was Male Factor Infertility, specifically low sperm motility. Tried 4 IUIs in 2014 but they didn't work. We decided to go the IVF route. Nov 2014 I had a retrieval and ended up with 8 embryos. I got Ovarian Hyerstimulation Syndrome so we did not do a fresh transfer. In January we did a frozen transfer of two embryos. The plan was originally to do a single embryo transfer, but since the quality of the embryos wasn't that great, we decided to try two and hope for the best. So needless to say, I was shocked when the transfer not only worked, but that BOTH babies stuck!! I am nervous about it all but excited at the same time. I worry about the pregnancy itself. I have a subchorionic hematoma that's caused some bleeding, but it's been good the last 11 days so I hope the bleeding is done completely. I also worry about how we'll be able to handle two little ones, and what things will be like when I go back to work (I work in a hospital and do shift work so my schedule bounces around!).
I look forward to reading more advice, tidbits, and stories from all the MoMs here!
